Just some operation questions. I’m using the 1942 timetable from the Coals to New Castle website, and I’m trying to sort out the Monday schedule at the moment. I’ve noticed in the timetable that 900 ton trains arrive “down” and depart “up” while 550 ton trains run between Casino and Brisbane. Casino seems to serve as a “division point,” while following the timetable the roundhouse seems to fill up rather quickly with locomotives handling down trains that terminate at Casino. How were trains marshaled at Casino? Was this a helper (bank) district from Casino to Brisbane? I am enjoying Mr. Gibbons work, and from the pictures that I have seen this part of Australia seems very picturesque (I’m in the Appalachian Mts.) Thanks for any information.
