After 9/11 the city of DC decided to install CCTV cameras all over the tracks through the district both on Amtrak property (pictured below) and CSX right of way. They also have armed guards in the vicinity of the First Street Tunnel (Amtrak) and the M Street Tunnel (CSX).

Well the cab of the Amtrak unit is nothing special (just a stock cab) because at the moment JR is not producing custom cabs. I guess I could do a video but there are a lot of areas that I really want to redo before I post pics of them let a lone a video. Also, I believe FRAPS has a limit on how long you can film (like 30sec or maybe less?) so that would be too much of a pain unless anyone knows where I can find a free copy. Nothing to report on right now, I have been working on CP VIRGINIA in Anacostia (Southwest), Washington, DC but progress has been slow for various reasons that I will list below. Thanks for checking in though.

I have been very busy with school just starting up (actually contemplating dropping a sport from my schedule) due to being in a very demanding magnet program. I also have been having plenty of issues outside of school (which I will not specify here). I have very limited time to work on this and some weekends I can tinker with the route but for now I'll try to update more but I cannot make any promises.

hey i know the route is not finished but i would really like a beta copy of this just as a sample please also im a engineer on the nec if u need anything that a randome person would not have just tell me and i can get u it in exchange for the route o yea i also have track diagrams from miami all the way to vermont or out west they all have the grade curves and speeds. o yea i work for amtrak so if u need any info on anything feel free to ask or i can just give u every thing i have for the route newport news to right out side of maryland o yea my dad worked for the prr too so if u need anything on that then ill be able to offer that to u aswell i really dont mind the fact that some parts dont have scenery i can add thoose parts because i know what all the railroad looks like
