Northeast Corridor Newport News, VA to Boston-South Station, MA (1024x 768 pixels)

lol Yeah, Davis I think you should still remove your number from that post. It would have been better if you just PM'ed that guy instead of showing your number to the world.

Robby

Well considering he doesn't know what a PM is that wouldnt hav really worked out. I guess Im pretty stalkwable now that I have given out my phone and e-mail, lol.

hold on i can go count on my route

Edit:
23 tracks with an adjoining platform but the amount varies as it bowls in. WUS has been revised so many times its track layout is pretty wacked out, some track has concrete ties some wooden, some pennsy signals some B&O it all depends. There's some MARC holding tracks and there is a hidden branch that I found in the plans and later found on google maps of a branch to the government printing office, idk if its used anymore but the tracks are still there.

There's also 2 metro tracks and some abandoned tracs. So lets go with my first answer and say "alot"

Alright I decided to ride the Metro today with my dad and my sis because I was bored. Normally I dont take any pics but this time I decided to go all out and take a bunch and I wanted to share them with you guys.

On the way in we took The Green Line from Greenbelt to Fort Totten, then it broke down in Fort Totten so we got on the Red Line to Gallery Place/Chinatown (via Union Station) and then we got on the yellow line to Pentagon City. We went to the mall and stuff then we got on the Yellow from Pentagon City to McPherson Square, where the train layed over on the only open track because they were replacing switches on the other track which I took a picture of and I caught some videos of which I will post later. We then picked up a heavily delayed green line back to Greenbelt.

So the next couple of posts will be my pics....

PICTURES!

Alright these will be mostly in chronological order:

Crossing over the NEC just north of New Carrolton:

Sorry for the really bluriness but here we are at the half inside half outside Fort Totten Station, here we are the green line platforms (Red and Green Lines--intersection, Yellow Line runs on Green Line trackage up to this poitn during select hours and days)

Thanks, Im trying to stick with it but its quite overwhelming. I won't be able to post progress until next weekend. I just dont know what to do. I think Im gonna leave DC alone for right now and start working my way down from Alexandria since its very frustrating. Also I added interlocking right north of NCR and NCR's Metro Yard is under construction.

Davis

Edit:
The interlocking I added takes place right under this bridge that I posted earlier. I told myself I wasnt going to progress North but considering the signals at Landover facing North consider the line ahead (northbound) unsignalled I decided to cruise up the line until I found more interlocking on google/multimaps and sure enough not a mile north there was, so now sessions can have trains running North up through NCR. Before release I will probably add track up to Seabrook considering its not but a mile and a half further.

Here is the bridge:

strench707,

I am going to email you a bunch of stuff. It is the all the amtrak infomation for washington to philadelphia out of the operating rules and instructions.
It has all the:
Interlockings
Stations (Mileposts of both)
Speeds (passengers type A,B,C,D and feight Speeds)
Signal Rules and Current of Traffic
All train Inspection Detectors
And All Special Instructions

Helmer,

That would be fantastic! I have been picking through websites trying to find what I need but to no prevail and I could definatly not find how many things you did! You see I dont wanna just lay the track and scenery and make it look good. I want to have detail from the driver's seat, realism, prototypicality, and for scenarios and just driving around the signalling and speed restrictions/limits would be great.

I could utilize all of this information.

Thanks man!

Davis
