Northeast Corridor Newport News, VA to Boston-South Station, MA (1024x 768 pixels)

If you want the terrain, fishlipsatwork has HOG-generated terrain files for the route between Boston and Philly. You'll just have to mix and match them yourselves. They're on the DLS.

You guys know that a 600-mile long route of dense greenery, housing and buildings, not to mention the splines, would not be able to run smoothly on Any (within reason) computer? Add on the AMtrak, SEPTA, MARC, MBTA and NJT passenger trains, and then the CSX, NS and all other RR's on it, and it would be impossible to run.

Also, Cities take a heap of time to build and the NEC is uh, mainly buildings all around.

If you still go on, I'll see you in 2030!

Don't forget MNRR New Haven Line and LIRR Terminal Zone trains. Maybe it's best just to connect the sections with iPortals.

Well if someone listened to me they could possibly help work on a DEM from Washington DC all the way to Boston....:o:hehe:

I am just about done on the New Haven to GCT, I have been working on the branch lines for it to be completed (New Canaan, Danbury and waterbury). I decided to focus more on Metro North. Off course, I placed portals in key areas such as New Rochelle CT, so I can have the acela and other amtrak lines traveling this long commuter route. I am very happy with the outcome! The other daiy I took M6 for a test, and it took 45 minutes for the train to arrive from New Cannan to GCT! I didn't mention that I made that train semi express! MY only concern will be to upload this route on DS. I am also adding an extension for the Harlem line all the way to North plains. Lots of hours on the making so far! Hopefully it will be uploaded soon , if becomes permited:D .

I'd like to see some screenshots of this route, the New Haven Line is my favorite railroad, if only because it goes right through Fairfield County where I live.

On a related note, does your route have the new Fairfield Metro Station?

Ah, it's alright. I might add it in on my end. By the way, Harlem Line only needs an extension to Bronxville. You can merge with the TC Harlem Line available on the DLS (or import it from TC; just remember to move that one blue house off the tracks!).

NEC Route

I'm willing to work on sections 6 AND 7. Since I live in the area of the NEC in NJ, I am familiar with the trackage and scenery. :)

Thank you for reminding me about that. That will save me tons of time!:)

I can wait to start seen all that rail traffic!:p

By New Haven North, you mean the station at State St? That'll be awesome.

By the way, I think it would be useful if, as you're going about your routes, you keep track of third-party assets and where they came from.

Is there anything available in Trainz, even blank DEM between Wilmington and Baltimore? There is a Washington-Baltimore route on DLS, and Philly to Wilmington on TS12. On another post someone said there were missing assets for a Washington-Wilmington route by wridenour, they must have the route if they reported missing assets, is it available somewhere?
