Hello, I have recently purchased this Trainz 2012 game and am in need of some assistance, I have bought this Nickel Plate set and I checked to make sure I had the service pack 1.
I bought this set from Simulator Central but I can't figure out that when I go in game like the company said I should do in order to claim this set, that I can't seem to find it anywhere.
does anyone who purchased this and currently run it know how I should get my purchase?

Welcome to the forums.

Firstly, check on the Launcher screen that you have got build 57720 or higher (the latest version is 58414 for the non-Steam English version)

If this is the case, the content should automatically download whilst you are in-game. If it does not, click Get New Content, then click the button at the bottom middle of the screen.

Not off the top of my head, but I may be able to check. Failing that, one of the other members here who has the pack will be able to tell you.

My build number is 58414, Interesting part is that when I clicked on the button you told me to, It didn't say I purchased it already... I know I paid for it??

It may not do, but there is a way of checking. According to the purchase page the content should be as follows:

  • New York, Chicago & St. Louis / 'Nickel Plate Road' Class S-2 2-8-4 locomotive in early and late condition
  • Pere Marquette Class N-1 2-8-4 locomotive in 'as preserved' condition
  • NKP 40' Boxcar
  • NKP 400 Series Bay Window Caboose
You should also make sure that you have put your username and password under Launcher > Options > Planet Auran.

Maybe I should contact the helpdesk. I do know I have service pack 1 if my build number is the highest there is. I go in game and do what is said and I still don't see it on the list of downloads. Interesting, I'll ask and see if they just can't send me the CDP..... I liked that a lot better than when they did this " you pay now and you get it later deal"

OK. looks like the order has gone through OK. In that case, can I verify that you've used the same account name for both purchases? I'm going to have to verify elsewhere what the names are for the assets in that pack.

Shane

I made only one Simulator Central Account, I used it for the purchase of my game online and the serial code for it along with the purchase of the set afterwards.

That's a good sign. Did you see any small windows with a progress bar appear when you launched Trainz for the first time after purchasing the DLC pack?

Shane

I purchased both of them at the same time to which Trainz was not installed on my system at the time. When the download did finish I did not see a progress bar of any type of assortment. I am curious to find out why it isn't downloading like it said it would.

To be honest, I'm curious too. Perhaps N3V may have an idea why - easiest way of contacting them is to use the Customer Support system at the bottom of any Simulator Central page then file a ticket under the Orders department including your order number as shown on Simulator Central.

You may get some other ideas on here as well from other forum members who have purchased that pack.

Shane

Thanks Shane, I'll start filing that ticket and then wait for more people to apply their info here. I'm hoping someone who once ran across the same issue will be here to assist me in the long run.

Hopefully. If I had the pack, I'd have been able to assist further, but as it stands I haven't got that particular pack.

Shane

EDIT: One thing I forgot to mention is that N3V do not work in the office on weekends so it may take a few days for them to respond.
