NJT/Metro North Port Jervis Line (WIP)

Just for starters, this post is off-topic, so I suggest you should start a thread for this.

But I'll help you, you need an account and on the index there is a section called downloads, and its pretty straight foward from there...
oh thanks and allright thanks man!

hey guys how do i add the content like locomotives into my game from TCR ?, i have TC 1&2 i need some help ! please and thank you.

This isnt the place for questions like tht dude. You need to start your own thread and not use others it's called hijacking this is for malikrthr route so please refraim from asking questions that aren't about the topic on hand.

I know this thread is incredibly dead and is probably rotting in its grave by now, but I have 1 question.

What are the names of those tracks? And if they are not for release, where can I find some similar ones of that high quality look?

EDIT: This track;

Anyone that wants this beta route can pm me with their email address. I now use this route to test rolling stock and locomotives on. Don't get too down in the dumps everyone. I now have TransDEM so I am basically reworking the route. In a way, it is not dead. The screenshots that you have been seeing were made without TransDEM which means I made all the elevations by hand.

I have something even better in the works. It is called the Major Tri State Area Project which will consist of all Metro North lines East and West of the Hudson River along with the Long Island Railroad, New England Railroad, NJT, Amtrak, MTA subway, and Freight Railroads in the Tri State Area. I know I have not posted screenshots in that thread in a while because I accidentally deleted some cloned files on my laptop which caused 90% of the assets in trainz to become faulty and trainz was unable to start. So for about a month or so, I was busy reinstalling and patching trainz 2009WBE to sp3 and redownloading most of those assets. So now trainz is back to normal.:). A little over a month ago, I purchased TransDEM which allows me to easily create all of the elevations that I want in the United States. That makes route building in trainz easy once you get the hang of it. I made a DEM for the NYC region which is stage 1 of the Major Tri State Area Project. In about a week or two, I will post screenshots of the progress I have made so far on my Major Tri State Area DEM in the Major Tri State Area Project thread. So far, I have scenery from Spuyten Duyvil to Riverdale. Some scenery still has to be filled in though. A couple of stages afterwards, I will make a DEM for the Port Jervis lines. Please, don't think that this project is dead. The screenshots that you see above were a beta. Think about that route as going through a rebuild. It will be a while till I reach the Suffern Area in my DEM based route but I will make sure that I complete this since that is my main goal for trainz.

As for the tracks I used, they can be found at JR.

I am sorry, but I do not know what JR is. What is it?

JR stands for Jointed Rail. They are a group of trainzers that create some of the best freeware and payware locomotives and rolling stock along with other items such as train tracks. You can google Jointed Rail.

Dude you are my hero. I have never seen such sophisticated Trainz content in my life. This is the real deal, from custom, very well textured locos to Tracks and scenery, this place has it down. I think Auran should talk to them about doing business.

Technically you can ignore the texture warnings, but if you want to fix them run the resource through PEV's TGA tool to fix them. To fix the other two problems open the config file in Notepad and delete the lines with '______' and Icon0.

Attention everyone, after several days of thinking this through, I decided to bring this route back from the trainz graveyard and rebuild it. I found a DEM on the dls by Fishlipsatwork called Port Jervis. I think his DEM's are the lower quality ones compared to the 1/3 arc sec dems, but I like the results from his DEM so far. I started last night and so far, all track work is complete between Suffern and Monsey on the CSX or Norfolk Southern branch line. This is being built on my Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop with integrated graphics or accelerated integrated graphics. I am not sure which one but I know it is integrated so my main goal is to have some scenery in here but keep the fps somewhat smooth. Below are some shots.

This train consist of NJT GP40-2, NJT comet III coaches and a Comet IV cab car. Due to a derailed train at Mahwah, NJT and Metro North WOH trains cannot continue south down the mainline. This is an emergency move for NJT/Metro North east along the Norfolk Southern or CSX branch line. It will terminate at a temporary station at Monsey, then from there a shuttle bus will bring passengers to Spring Valley and the train will bring Passengers towards Hoboken.

Here, we have an NJT consist at idle preparing to go to the Suffern yards for the night and continue it's journey in the morning.

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!! Where can I get those njt shoreliners?

The NJT comet III and comet IV cab car work in sp3. In the config, you have to change the build number to 3.1 in order for them to work.

Status Update: Track work is 90% complete between Suffern Station and Sloatsburg station. More scenery has been added such as trees and roads. I have a Metro North track map that covers the whole tri state area and where the stations, junctions, and signals are. Could somebody help me understand the signals and how they work. I don't know what signals to use for the Port Jervis line, specifically between Suffern and Sloatsburg.

Status Update: More scenery has been added such as trees, roads, and traffic lights. Trackwork is now complete up to the Sloatsburgh station. I will continue working on the Port Jervis line in June. Now time to work on the Harlem and New Haven lines east of the Hudson river.

Awesome. While you work on the EoH lines, can I beta test the Port Jervis Line?
