NJT/Metro North Port Jervis Line (WIP)

Looking good. :)

Just as a note, I notice that the carz on the roads are travelling on the left side of the road, instead of on the right side as they should. You may want to change the region that you have your map set to. ;)

Regards,

Retro.

You can get the NJT P40DC over at TCR. About the cars traveling on the opposite side of the road, when I first created the route, I forgot to set the region to United States. I am not sure how to change it now.

Thank you so much. This is exactly what I am looking for. The only thing that I am looking for is how to correctly get basemaps to work. It is quite difficult getting an image that I copied from google earth into a 720x720 basemap. For some reason, when I copy my image to a 720x720 basemap, once I commit it, it is faulty. 1Km basemaps are no problem, but they do not represent the real distances, which makes my new route seem bigger than it's real life counterpart. I tried following tons of tutorials and one youtube video on getting maps into trainz, but I always get stuck. I heard about google map buddy. Would anyone know how to deal with that and trainz. I heard it's really good for getting maps into trainz. Really appreciate the maps:). Once, I figure out how to deal with basemaps, which will probably be difficult, I'll be more than glad to do most of the tri state area for trainz in one map with hundreds of baseboards.

isn't the limit of baseboards for Trainz 340?

AMAZING!!!
Btw, I have a MNCR F40PH I could offer you:) .

Thanks. Now that I know how to work with getting maps onto the 1km baseboards a bit more, my future projects will probably get done faster. The main project that I will be working on next will be most of the tri state area. Mainly it will consist of Metro North, LIRR, NJT, Amtrak empire connection, part of the NEC, Metro North WOH, Acela, P&W, NY&A, CSX, the railroad of New England, and part of the NYC subway.

Also, for those that have the route, and are missing dependencies, just send me a list of the kuids for those items, and I'll see if I can send them via email. There are just 2 kuids that I am missing from the route.

I think this project is really cool, and I hope to see the fruits of your labor soon! Just one thing I should point out, though: The cars appear to be driving on the left as they would in the UK and Australia. Is there any way to change that for consistency with US traffic?

Thanks. Right after I began placing down the roads, I realized that I forgot to set the region. I am not sure how to change the direction the cars are traveling.

I saw one also yesterday, along with a CSX ES44 DC on the opposite track not far from Harmon Meadows, NJ, it's was in an industrial area.

this is nice and not bad

where can i download this route? i love the look of this route, since i live in atlanta, a huge NS hub.:udrool:

Nice! I like how the former E&L/Port Jervis Route is gaining some popularity in Trainz, as I too am working on this route. If you need any pointers, feel free to ask and I should be able to help.:)

Ok. The beta of the route is already finished. If you would like it, you can send me a pm with your email address. One thing I could use help with is the signal work. I am not really sure what each signal is for.

Just for starters, this post is off-topic, so I suggest you should start a thread for this.

But I'll help you, you need an account and on the index there is a section called downloads, and its pretty straight foward from there...
