Nice stations

Hi, everybody!
Seeing as there are many threads on locomotives - ugly, beautiful, successful, etc. - I thought that there should be a thread on stations.
So this is the Nice stations thread!
Here you can show the different stations of the world. Preferably the most beautiful and interesting ones of any country. :)

In the thread you can post all sorts of stations.
I will start with a variety from my country.
The stations you post here can be Beautiful. /Pun intended - the station's name is Beautiful/
They can be pretty wood structures like this Mežciems resort station:

Or some Soviet architecture. This is the coastal station of Dubulti, shaped as a wave.

Or maybe something that's orange? The recently renovated station in the touristy town of Sigulda.

But then maybe you want a mix of everything in one station? The heavily secured border station of Indra.

Let us see the stations of the world! :)

I like this thread idea!
Curious what kind of interesting structures will show up in this thread.

Let me add a picture of "Station Rotterdam Blaak". This used to be an above ground station, but is part of a tunnel these days. In the picture you see the structure above ground:

Here's Beverly station on the former Boston & Maine Railroad. This is no longer a railroad station and is now a restaurant. The trains still stop here, but the passengers stay under the shelter instead of waiting inside unless they want an expensive steak and seafood dinner. This station like the one in Andover, MA was built around 1908-1910. Both stations look similar with the same roof and brickwork.

The old North Station, opened in 1929, before it was razed for the new Fleet Center and passenger station. The Green Line LRV sits at the ground-level North Station terminal while the elevated line continues to Lechmere. There was a double transit station up there too with a Green Line trolley station and an Orange Line EL platform which was to the right of the scene. The Orange Line EL disappeared in the 1970s and the trolley EL lasted until the late 2000s. In the old days where the LRV is parked, there was a loop here for the PCC trolleys to go around. All of this is gone now. The trolley line now runs underground and exists to the left of the station building and on to the original bridge to Cambridge. The Orange Line, which was placed underground during the mid-1970s also shares the same platform now with the Green Line making crossing between commuter and Amtrak to the MBTA a lot easier.

The Worcester, MA Boston and Albany station. This building was almost razed a few years ago. It sat in decrepit shape, with no windows and rotting away. Today it's been updated and used as a multimodal station with commuter and Amtrak trains upstairs and buses downstairs.

Boston South Station. This is the terminus of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and the beginning of the MBTA's South Shore and the Worcester line commuter trains. This was once shared by the Boston and Albany (NYC) and the New York, New Haven, and Hartford (NH). There was once an EL between here and the North Station pictured above. This came down during the Great Depression and sold for scrap to help the war efforts for WWII.

And finally, and important feature now gone from South Station. The semaphore bridges which lasted until the line between New Haven and Boston was electrified.

The old Penn station in NYC. Grand Central would look small if placed next to it. Demolished in 1963 sadly.
Even today it remains the busiest passenger station in the United States. A big pity, really.

All are operational Amtrak stations.

How sad because I was too young to have seen this magnificent structure - I was only 2 when it was demolished. The city built Madison Square Garden on the station site and although I've never been there, I've been to Penn Station a few times. It's not exactly the prettiest place. It's pretty ugly inside and very generic. Sadly, the city lost a landmark but woke up really fast when a developer wanted to raze Grand Central as well for another office tower! Today that landmark is considered one of the wonders of the world.

Now if they'd finish fixing up the former NYC Buffalo Terminal, it would be awesome. From what I've read on various sites that this has been either thought of or a work in progress.

I recently had the joy of visiting Dubai and driving the Dubai metro. It is a nice and modern system (wiki link).

I loved the design of the metro stations. Here are a few pictures of them:

I couldn't find that good a picture, so this will have to do.

This is a National Heritage Station in Dunedin NZ.

Cheers Bill, saved me having to post it :)
It's funny how you never pay much attention to buildings you pass almost every day. It's a great bit of at architecture though!
