Because those inside-cab interior is different on other interior etc, mean those will get in the DLS with payware????
Not to bad of a cab....But that GB unit sure looks funny....Long nose on that thing...![]()
No payware from me, it will be freeware when I get it done. pretty busy building crossings at the moment.
Nope the measurements are correct according to the blue print I was using.
All of the levers and gauges work including the speedometer located on the computer screen there on the desktop. Its hard to see in the pic. The sun visers can be moved up and down with the mouse and the wipers work. The radiator cooling fans run too. And the radio works.
But that's enough about my engine I'll turn this thread back over to 6900.

Just working on the hornsound. I think I have one now for the Nathan K3LA that will be nice and loud, just like its about to run you overI also found a couple of details I missed. I probably will get it out by this time next week though.
That's a good looking cab you have there. A question, should I want to add one to mine, do you have to model both sides? I have some photos of the right side, not much of anywhere else though. And how do you find out what all of the dials, buttons and gauges do. Can these locomotive users manuals be found online somewhere?
I would model both sides. You can have a look at mine if you want, and I can get you more views of how I did the back wall and such if you like. Mine is accurate according to pic I found on the Internet. The back wall I had to guess at because I could not find any shot's of it, but the rest of the cab is right.
Here's how I did it. First just make a clone of your engine in Gmax and name it interior. Then go through and delete anything that you cannot see from the cab to cut down on poly count, you'll have to also make a new asset in CMP because the interior is an attachment. Then after you have the control panel and interior parts made start putting in the points for the gauges and levers, and name them correctly so that Trainz will recognize them. You will also have to get them turned the correct direction so that the lever will operate correctly and the config file will have to be set up to operate them too. I recommend just working on one gauge or lever at a time to save yourself a big head ache. I referred to some existing models for help in this department, like the Auran DD40 and Phil_C's engines. In fact I used the DD40 Script to operate the gauges and levers.
You should go to World of Trainz and have a look at Phil Cambell's tutorial on building an interior, he explains how to do a lot of what I briefly described here but in a lot more detail.
This loco looks awesome, great job. Any plans for adding working ditchlights?
