Now available on the DLS is a set of passenger coaches and combination boxcars, for both Union Pacific and Central Pacific.
First, the coaches (shown with a couple of bdaneal's 4-4-0 locomotives):
There are two sizes; 34' and 47'. Both include nightmode, have three levels of detail, and are passenger interactive with operating end doors (supporting Elvenor's western passengers). Central Pacific above; and Union Pacific below:
Next are the combination boxcars. These versatile cars had ventilated as well as solid doors, and could carry traditional dry goods, perishable cargo and livestock.
These cars are also industry interactive (including LARS support), and come set up for old west general goods, hay, oranges, and cattle. The solid doors close when carrying hay or general goods, and the ventilated doors close when carrying perishable goods or cattle.
In addition, the combination cars come with 5 textures each, from dirty to clean. These textures are randomly assigned when the cars are placed in surveyor. They also support ARN automagic numbering for unique car numbers. Thank you very much to Wulf and Andi for the variety of scripting examples that made these cars possible!!!
The UP cars are shown above, and the CP cars below.
Last but not least is the initial entry in a series of industry-interactive buildings to load and unload old western products. This fruit factory will generate orange loads, and is based on bendorsey's fruit factory model. Ben's original model has been reworked to lower the polycount, as well as add LoD support. I'd like to offer a big thank you to Ben for letting me use his model!!
All content works equally well in TRS2004 and 2006.
