New license policy regarding my content

Hello fellow Trainzers, I hope you guys are having a good day today, and hope the guys down under have had a good nights rest as well.
I have posted this thread to inform the community of a new license policy regarding my content. As most of you know I have a
few projects going underway and one of them is a fairly good sized route from Corry PA all the way to Cornell NY.
If someone's alreay doing this, then I might or might not continue with it. I may at some point try again at content creation,
but right now will deal only with reskins and routes. Now onto the new license policy:
"You may not release any reskins of my content to any third-party webpage without my express written permission.
Any reworked or retouched version of my content may only be uploaded to the DLS.
Those who are using TS12 or TS12 + SP1 and Hotfixes are permitted to modify and upload an error-free updated version to the DLS only.
If used in a payware route, the content in question must remain on the DLS and is under no circumstances permitted to be included in any dependency pack.
You may release your own version of my routes to the DLS only.
The original creator's license remains in full effect unless otherwise noted for any reskinned/reworked locomotive that you wish to create your own version of."
I realize that I only have one route on the DLS, but due to the recent acquisistion of a job i am not going to be creating as much as before.
Uusually I wouldn't implement something like this, but it has to be done in this case since i have no idea what life holds in store in the near future.
I also have several model railroading projects that I am completeing and am giving priority to them at the moment.
Hope you all have a good day, and a good night's rest tonight. Also i wish to thank the content creators of the Trainz community,
especially those who create freeware and allow reskinning of their content. Also I would like to thank the community as well,
its been a fun time here and even though I'll not be creating as much content as before, I'll still be around and most likely have a few projects
to work on at any given time. For those who are wondering, no I'm not leaving, I'm just not going to be around as much due to work and other recent issues.
Happy Trainzing!

Retrospective?

Hi John --

I note that you do have content on the Download Station.

I haven't read the licence agreement for that content. Is it the same as the wording above?

Or are you making it retrospective? If you are there might be some probity issues.

I think the community already can do this under your kuid if there are errors so I'd omit that. Other than that it looks slightly more permissive than the normal DLS license.

This applies to both my older and any newer content, my apologies for not mentioning that. I have to update the stuff I have on the DLS anyway, so I don't think that'll be a problem. Not long ago therock generously gave me permission to use his 12-645E sounds for future reskins of MSP's (mchawkman) SW1500, so i'll be updating both of my repaints. The M&A will get new track, some grasses and different trees, and possibly be lengthened a bit and definitely improved.

Yes I know that's classified as part of the DLS cleanup process, though I chose to include that so it would be there in case anyone wasn't sure. And yes it is a bit more lenient than the normal license. I enjoy seeing what others can do with a locomotive when it comes to reskinning, and since I do a good bit of it myself, I thought it the right thing to do and allow reskins/modifications to be uploaded to the DLS as well. That's half the fun of Trainz anyway, you never really know who's going to release what at any given time.
