New High-Speed Trains in the U.S.

I found this on Amtrak's website. It's a news release listing specifications of new high-speed trainsets that will be used on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and the California High-Speed Rail Authority. I always felt that the trains should not have a locomotive, a.k.a. 'power car', so that it can haul more people (hint, hint). This is in .pdf format, so you need a program like Adobe Reader.
Here's the link:

"at speeds of up to 220 mph, currently proven and in commercial use".
That narrows it down to a handful maybe less straight away.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing in commercial use that fits the criteria due to FRA Crash regs, that seems to have been the barrier to importing off the shelf trains. Maybe the ICE3?
