What DEM file type do you use for trainz 2010?

I was trying to make one for my route, I just did not know what files work within trainz
Gordon, Working on Palmerston North Airport, eh? Will Freedom Air be flying overseas? :hehe: I guess you can fly a Dash 8 from Wellington to Palmerston North now (or are they flying the Beechcrafts in to there?). Look foward to some scrennies!
Been a pretty hectic week for me and I finnaly got the Emirates A380 uploaded. Look for:
Emirates Airbus A380 or KUID: 510748:1061
Emirates Airbus A380 static or KUID: 510748:1128

Nzms, I can not see a problem with the Dash 8-400 FlyBe Static. What do you think the problem is? I am using 2010 SP3.

My be a while be for i have some screen shots, had a thought about a new command for the portals if it could ever be done, it follows:
drive via portal ___________, to detination portal _______________
this would allow 1 outbound portal to serve several destination portals by telling the aircraft/train which portal you want it to come out of.
hope this makes sense

It looks fine to me in 2010, certainly shows up well even when rotating.

The problem ive got with the static version is it shows in the window but when placed trainz shows something happend by the undo button but it is not visible, nor is the german version. Just a thought do I need one of the other dash-8 planes as I did not download all of the static versions? No errors or anything show up even after redownloading.

I just downloaded some of the others that I did not have and tried them and they all work so I am not sure what is happening. I do not see why you would need the actual flying versions (or even one of them) for the static ones to work but this may be a case where we need Ian to advise us.
While I am here I watched a great program last night on Heathrow's Terminal 5 and its building. The show also included some of the history behind major developments in Airports such as Radar for landings, metal detectors (an idea from a saw mill gave them that idea :hehe etc. Here the show was called "Big, Bigger, Biggest: Airport" and was part 2 of 4. I am not sure what the other parts are on or if they are on Airports even, it was a UK program.
I think you can do this now. On my major Southline route I use 2 rules, Schedule Library and Portal Timetable Rule. With the portal rule you can set up what planes come out of what Portals and at which time. You can set up their schedule just as you would in a normal session. In the Library I have various "sections" of schedule that I can use.
So for example, I have a plane coming out of a Portal and using the library it goes to Wagga Domestic. From there I can use a number of other library schedules to either go to Cootamundra or to a Portal. So in my Portal Rule I have the plane coming out at a certain time, doing the first library schedule to Wagga, waiting a certain time, and then performing another schedule from the library.
I think if you play around with this you may find it helps out.

I can not get the Aircraft Carrier Elevator Lift Table to work.
It says: Atilabarut is useful in operating the turntable. Nothing show up for what turntable to move.

You need to download and install "Input Table" by atilabarut (kuid:131986:1012). The Carrier Demo Session by vulcan gives you an example of what to write in the Input Table in order for a command to appear in "Move Turntable>"

After looking at Keith's (stagecoach) Heathrow Airport and seeing how he has used Boat's ATLS system I decided I would eventually do the same. With some reading and some questions that Keith kindly answered for me, I thought my original Terminal "Pod" would be a little complicated or too difficult to use the ATLS system on.
So I have changed the basic layout of the Terminal Pods to look like the very early screenshots below. I also changed some of the Runways and taxiways which is what is taking time to progress faster.
Many thanks to Keith for his help with ATLS and an early look at his WIP on Heathrow.

Driver Rule to Operate the Lift Table
You will find the red transfer table arrows difficult to operate when a helicopter is on the lowest level. Atilabarut has made two rules that allow turntables to be turned using driver commands:
- InputTable kuid:131986:1012 and
- MoveTurntable kuid:131986:180156
turntable, turntable_name, number_of_stops
eg, turntable, TR3, 4 with a space after the commas.
This does not within work in TS2010.

Yes this does work in 2010 though you have to be careful. Going from memory (not always a good idea :hehe in the Input Table your first word "turntable" has to be lower case. The name of the Turntable is OK but when you come to the number of turns I sometimes had problems to get it right, I used the wrong number. I can not remember the number of turns required for the turntable and at the moment I do not have the Carrier loaded to check it out. Maybe a little "trial & error" is required.
It will take a little to get used to, I know I had troubles as well and would have to think about it if I was to use it again.
Hopefully someone else can give you more help, but it will work.
