Just installed and re-ran my edition of Trainz on Linux Mint 22.2 Cinnamon. Once I chose the graphics setting (High) the environment page would never load in when I go full screen, and even when I made some adjustments to the graphics based what I always use, the environment screen just goes white with the black bars that represent the main menu. The music played, but also I can't X out of it and have to force it off through Steam. When I used Windows 10, on occasion the environment loading screen would strobe before loading.
Before anyone says update GPU drivers. They are up to date, and nothing in Linux Mint driver list has any listed in case there was a patch. The GPU is a Gigabyte 6600 RX Eagle (equivalent to the nVidia 2070). This is not a high end computer, it is a bit of a potato given it's age.
No other game I installed has this issue. My guess it's how the environment has a stupid fade in effect that might trip of it's load. No log appear, because it's not generating any runtime errors. I am fully aware that games meant for Windows (though that can play on Linux) is VERY hit or miss (despite what is said online).
In the end if I have to quit playing Trainz for good, well I do have other games that work near flawlessly.
