New Aircraft

Thanks Carl, Mike

I uploaded the Nimitz 8 hours ago, but no approval yet, be patient. As soon as I am sure it is ok, I will upload the route and session.

Aircraft Carrier or Airfield ?

Maybe I can park the Nimitz off the coast at Byron Bay so I dont have to build an airfield there.

Might have a few complaints from the locals PG.

Carrier is approved, give it 6 hours, map and session have been uploaded.

Vulcan,

I concerned trainz for Osprey V22 Mailiner puted Helicopter Lift Table then error screen here

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Let me know

I used to trs06 above.

Cheers,

NKP

P.S. talk to Vulcan. I need to help how to Helicopter Lift table any tutorial?

Hi NkP,

I do not know what is giving you that error message, but you will find how to set up and use the lift tables on my webpage:

http://www.ianztrainz.com.au/project6.htm

You will find the larger helicopters will hide the red arrows so you cannot click on them. You do need to use the Move Turntable rule to move the table off the ground initially, then the arrows can be used when the table is up in the air.

I assume your are using the older Helicopter Lift Table 1. I have just now set up the table 1 and table 2 in TS2009, with the move turntable rule and the Osprey and they seem to work correctly for me, without error messages.

I haven't trs09 was stolen last dec. And ordered to trs10 get as soon.. :)

NKP, testing the Osprey on TRS2006, there is one script command that has been used that is not available in TRS2006.

Ok, the script has been modified to work in TRS2006, I will upload new versions of the Osprey.

Only 2006 users need to replace the script at this time. Extract the aircraft30.gs file from the zip. Open the aircraft files (both Ospreys) for edit in CMP and replace the script files. Commit the models.

NKP, when you get the aircraft working, download the carrier route and session to see how the turntables are set up. The route is TRS2009, you say you have that version.

Ian,

Great work on the Carrier, congratulations on pushing the boundaries of Trainz further ahead.

Works great in 2010 SP3.

This is probably cheating a little, but i can't get my head around how to put together even a small airport, so would it be easier just to DL the carrier, plonk it on the outskirts of town and run planes off that?

I don't know what the locals would think, but surely it can't be any worse than any real airport, can it?:hehe:

Love the carrier Vulcan, it looks like a lot of love (and sanity:hehe:) has gone into the making of this model. Well done for expanding the boundaries once again, with regards to what this program can do!

Could somebody please assist me in putting together a small airport somehow? I don't want a huge one, just a small one, maybe the size of Newcastle, if that. Maybe somebody could have put together a small diagram, detailing what items of content i would need, as a rough guide?

Cheers,

Matt.

Go onto google earth and have a look at some small airports to get some ideas. You can see most of the detail of the runways and taxiways etc. I did this with London Heathrow which i'm attempting to do.

Yeah, i did that, at the suggestion of Jamie. Problem is, i have no idea what i am looking at. I can't tell a taxiway from a runway, probably cause i can't see any taxis, or runners.:hehe:

OK, I'm not that quite that stupid, but I am sure you get my point. Is it really to much too ask for a diagram showing how to set out a small airport, using the bits and pieces we have available for Trainz?

If it is, just say so, and I'll go away and stop bothering people.

Edit: Jamie, just got in ahead of me. Thank you, kind sir. See people, it's not too hard after all. That should do fine, Jamie. I'll see what i can do, post a few screenies and you can point out all my errors.

Ronayne, as i said, i have no idea what i am looking at. It looked small to me, alright?

Coming from a 12 year old, i find that extremely insulting. Watch your mouth, mate, that sort of thing could get you into trouble.

Still, you did get a snort from me, so I'm not taking it too hard.

Youth these days.

*Sigh*
