New Aircraft

Where'd they go?? Where'd Ian and Bill go?? Oh, wait, I see an F/A-18 up in the sky:hehe:

I find BNSF50 Blue Invisatrack easier to see, and find in the sky, when making adjustments in airplanes altitude.

Or bu entering -surveyorfov=185 in the trainzoptions file, for a far up, wide angle view.

It's been awhile not doing much just tweeking.

Pictures I found on a 3D files site, might try and have a go at these

Hi stagecoach,

Willem2 love the airport assets but have a problem with the airport splines. they work ok but dont fit into my situation at present because of the small hubs you have on them. Would it be possible to have just the plain airport building spline and have the small hubs as an asset in their own right as I could fit them in without any problem using vulcans bridge spline to join them to the main building.

aWSUM:hehe:
Nice Bill, don't think any use in Ode to Vulcan, but it'll be used in other routes

Hi Guys, been busy on the Nimitz.

Here is the next one, the E2D Hawkeye, rotating dome, folding wings etc.

hawkeye450.jpg

Craig is testing the Nimitz and will post some pics soon.

You really need to use the trigger to get the animations to work, so FA-18s, the Osprey, Hawkeye, lift elevators, pushback tractors and the Nimitz will be released together - I think the simple map with it all set up will be useful as a demo map.

Wow Ian
Maybe he was flying a B-2 and we couldn't see him:hehe:

No Fair:'( Craig gets to be a beta tester, aw well, nice work, am itching for these, keep going on the DLS every 5 minutes

Oh, and Ian, will this be the end of this project, better not be, you need to go off with a bang, B-52 Maybe:hehe: :o

And one more thing
A boeing 707?? They're the AWACS Plane as well

http://membres.multimania.fr/wings2/3vues/
Just found a glossary with nearly every commercial airliner ever made, with diagrams

And a B-2 (just sayin...:hehe: )
http://www.hobby-bench-buddy.ca/BetterFly2/Northrop B-2.png
That would be really interesting, maybe an effect that would make it invisible to the map

And (finally) would I be able to merge the route??

Thanks, vulcan,

I worked on the original (real) E-2As. I arrived at VAW-11, North Island Naval Air Staion, San Diego, about two weeks after the first E-2A arrived in February 1964. The E-2A (Super Fudd) was a long way from being ready. I went to sea with the first E2-A deployment, aboard the Kitty Hawk 20 months latter. I worked on radio and navagation gear.

Hi everyone,

@Gordon, your Airport is coming along very well, congratulations. I love those vehicles you found and they would really suit any Airport. What is that yellow truck in your second screenshot with the Qantas plane and fire trucks?

@Jamie, if you are talking about merging Ian's Demo layout you should be able to but you may have to then play with some of the scenery items and ground heights etc. It would be a good start though as Ian has done a great job to show what can be achieved.

Ah some screenshots, yups I have been very fortunate and lucky to get to play with Ian's Demo layout and "Carrier Task Force"

First, without the deck crew planes would not even get off the ground, watch in other screenshots as you will notice they are animated.

carrier01.jpg

Notice the people now animated and see the little pop-up viewer in the middle of the deck, it is only visible when the planes takeoff,

carrier02.jpg

The animated takeoff sequence is amazing, the smoke effect really looks like what we see on TV.

carrier03.jpg

The Nimitz is ready for action.

and for some more action

The raising blast shield animation is amazing, the hydraulic jacks work overtime to hold the shield in place as the plane takeoff

carrier05.jpg

As I said, the smoke for takeoff look so real, it's great

carrier06.jpg

Ah yes, Ian's E2D Hawkeye another fine piece of creative work.

carrier07.jpg

Watching the wings fold out is really neat

carrier08.jpg

And now we are ready to "Rock & Roll" :hehe:

carrier09.jpg

To be Continued :)

We even have parking under the deck

carrier10.jpg

Using Ian's Lift Table, once the plane is in position you can raise it up to the top deck

carrier11.jpg

and then turn it around to be ready for action

carrier12.jpg

of course all planes need a tailhook for landing

carrier14.jpg

and if your traveling at a slow enough speed for landing, the plane stop automatically

carrier15.jpg

If you a little to fast, the afterburners are applied to give you extra power to takeoff and have another go at landing

carrier16.jpg

The FA-18 Super Hornets really look good when flying around. You have 2 type of missiles to fire, a Paveway and Sidewinder missile plus your machine gun.

This work really shows some of the potential of Trainz when you think "out of the box" so to speak and also of the great creative and imaginative talents of Ian.

Congratulations Ian and many thanks for all your work.

Many thanks as well for letting me test and play around with the Nimitz Carrier Force.

G'day Gordon!

Nice airport you got goin' there! Wish I could building something that big but I'm afraid when I put those runways and taxiways down, it lags like hell!

Keep up the good work!
