Hello Gentlemen,

Question:

I set up a plane (start-up) along triggers to automatically take off and land, however, what do I do so its' propellers / engines start up without me pressing the "B"?

Upon entering driver I want the airplane to start up on it's on, and move forward ...

Thanks
Ish

Current work in progress - DC-3 Air freighter (General Goods)

Been busy trying to make progress on the non-aeroplane parts of the layout (boats, railway, scenery, etc). Starting to work through the build-up of ideas from the past few months. Still trying to sort out how to get my freighter to actually pick up freight.

If I remember right Ish'ie, use boats aircraft trigger and in properties you can select the " B " key in the listing to start the engine. Just remember if you are sending the aircraft through a portal when it returns you will have to place another trigger to start the engine again.

I mainly use the start aircraft engine command from Ian

eg. " aircraft engine start,wait 5m,load,wait 10m, navigate via taxi 1a,navigate to runway hold 1,wait 60sec,navigate to runway 1 out,wait 2m, navigate via takeoff 1,navigate to portal north,navigate to inbound hold 1,wait 5sec,start engine,wait 60sec,navigate via runway 1 in,navigate via taxi 1b,navigate to gate 1,wait 2m,aircraft engine stop,wait 2m,unload,wait 30m,repeat "

This is roughly the sequence I use and by just changing the wait times you can use the same gate to take multiple aircraft.

Hope this makes sense.

Welcome back, Bruno, happy to see you here again.
I can see that you have been busy, with nice reskins. Please continue!!

All's good thanks Ish, still reading the idiots guide to animation in 3ds max so hoping to animate some of the static heli's and vehicles I've got.

Hello Gordon --

You know, sir, you can find some great youtube tutorials on animation! --

To all -- send to the DLS some large invisible speed signs specially to be use on invisible tracks that would be use for airplanes ... the speed signs can only be view in surveyor, and big enough to see from a far. -- 5mp-305mp ... in between different speeds like 5,10,15,20,40,80,120,180, 225.265.285.305 --

Take Care, Gordon

Ish

I see your speed signs ( or not see as the case may be ) and raise you this one " TIV priorite variable - invisible,<kuid:53425:21004> "

Invisible - yes
standard speed setting - yes
priority 1 speed setting - yes
priority 2 speed setting - yes
priority 3 speed setting - yes

this means you can set eg.

1- shunter's speed 35kph
2- mainline freight 85kph
3- highspeed passenger 200kph

I use this for aircraft and road vehicles

Hi guys,
Thank you for giving some life to this thread!

This is an update of my MD-11 skins. A 3rd central main gear has been added by Ian, in conformity with the real aircraft.

Hi Pascal,

Excellent, sir!

NEW SPEED SIGNS

Hello Guyz,

Screenshot below shows the new speed signs -- I use my Marsz invisible track, which is thick ... if you use Ian's invisible track you will notice how big the signs are really! --- I made these because all of the invisible signs at the DLS are tiny ... nothing big enough to really see from a distance as you place them ... These signs should help.

If you anyone needs a different speed just let me know!!!

The signs should be there later today --- they've been approved yesterday!

Enjoy!
Ish :)

Hello Everyone,

Maybe you guyz can help me --

When I don't find something at the DLS I usually make the item, but I figure I ask here first this time:

Looking for medium / small size hangers, what do you recommend from the DLS!?

I didn't find anything, but sometimes people named their items differently than what they are use for!

Thanks in advance!

Ish

Like these?

Gordon

Hi Gordon --

Yes, sir ... I typed Pascal's keyword at the DLS, and most of those came up!

On your second picture, the chopper on the flatbed truck, what's the kuids for that?

Also, in your third picture from what item does the window property comes from?

============================================================

Side note -- I'm updating my massive Desert route, since TANE makes it easier to work on massive routes, and I've upgraded thus far 3 airports ... Shelby Town airport which is a small runway airport, Carson City Airport which is a medium size airport. and Desertroplis International Airport ... I did a run with my reskinned Desert Airline small airplane, in which it takes off, lands, takes off, and lands again, etc ... it's coming together nicely guys!

When I finalized everything I'm post screenshot, and video clip ... right now adding triggers and schedules to each three airports!

My Desert route has 8 airports in total, each totally looking different -- at 300mph it'll takes about 10-20mins between airports, etc ... so, they'll really spread apart!

Thanks guys for your feedback on the hangers, etc ... :p
Take Care
Ish
