New Aircraft

Here's a couple cargo aircraft I know of:

Airbus A300F
Airbus A310F
Antonov AN-124 Ruslan
Antonov AN-225 Mriya
Boeing 747-400F
Boeing 757-200F
Boeing 767-300F
Boeing 777-300
Douglas DC-8
Ilyushin IL-76
McDonnell-Douglas MD-11F
McDonnell-Douglas DC-10F

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I check the DLS, but these do not come up --

Kind Regards
Ish

Hi Ish,

The list is OK.
You can sort the aircrafts names with the words: cargo, DHL, UPS, TNT, Fedex, etc..
Many airlines transport passengers and cargo as well, which is not reflected in the aircraft name or type...not easy.
Also, some airlines are specialized in freight, such as Martinair.

Hi Pascal,
Thanks for the info, sir!!!
I found quite a few, etc

Hi Gentle's

I can't find runway measurements that dates back to world war 2!
I know I can use any measurements, but for accuracy maybe you guys have better luck in a search! LOL

And, the airport stand-alone route is merging beautifully guys! Need to cover a few things on it, before taken screenshots.

Take Care all

IAN INTERNATION AIRPORT - UPDATE 3

Hello Gentle's

These are raw screenshots, meaning that things are not done -- I'm displaying them now to keep you all on its' progress!

***Note -- on the screenshot you will see runways not done -- this is TANE, as it has rendering issues I support!

Well, Gentle's, like I said, lots of work needs to be done for super accuracy ... those little details will come later, like naming the runways and the call signs!

The airport will be bigger then this, as I will add a pair of shorter runways, or maybe a 13,000 feet on the other side; And then I will have all of the terminals and parking lots in the center ... (optional, so I am not sure, but when I am done with a final version I might make a copy of a second version and add houses and buildings around the airport for effect ... maybe 5 miles out, and then have airplanes from this point approach the airport, etc )

Also, as you can see I've added a WW2 runway --- I'm also going to add some military contents ... few hangers here and there ... since in the real world military aircrafts really do not park in civilian airports ... we'll see!

Pascal, your blue angels will make in, tho! :hehe:

Well, hope you like what you see thus far !
Working from inside and building outwards .. LOL

Take Care All

Ish.

1. For a WIP, it looks awesome.
2. I will reinforce that military AC don't really use civilian airports, BUT, it does happen when it is either practical, more efficient (quicky fuel stops and such) or dire emergencies.

Actually not true, (at least here in the US) Our airport here in phoenix hosts Air National Guard planes, not fighters that I know of, but kc-135's (IIRC.) I've also seen Coast Guard aircraft land here (the irony of a [now retired] coast guard HU-25 landing in a landlocked state) I would assume that its common for military aircraft to do routine training at major airports near them but they aren't foreign to being stationed at major airports.
I mean technically USCG AS San Diego is still at San Diego International, they are separated by the main roadway (quite an operation) but it still shares the runway with them.
Just wanted to give you a little more info, I dont know what you're modeling but yeah there are some airports that share the spotlight with the military.

Hello, sir ...

Thanks for your post -- And for your tip on military aircrafts, etc ... will add a section for them now! ;)

Kind Regards
Ish

Hello there, sir

Oh, thank your for information, indeed!

I live in Florida, so I know that the Coast Guard is stationed at the Clearwater airport!
I guess I wasn't thinking of small airports, since what I am constructing is grand in scale!

However, as I said above this post I will add a section for military planes, and more specifically for the Coast Guard!

What I am constructing is a merger of JFK and Atlanta international airports --- Seeing their diagram maps, and kind of merging both into one, but not everything of course ... just taken pieces of each, and see what fits and looks right! :hehe:

Kind regards

Hello Gentle's --

Has Ian, or anyone else done ww2 planes?

Did keyword search but nothing comes up!

Thanks for any feedback!!

Ish

Hi Ish,

Yes there are quite a few aircraft for WW2, I never thought to put WW2 in the keywords.
Look for Spitfire, Hurricane, Mosquito, Lancaster, Lightning P-29, Texan T6, DC-3, 4, Catalina, Mustang A-86, Messerschmitt, Junkers, Heinkel HE 111, and the older Tiger Moth.

Hello Ian,

How are you, sir??
Hope things are great at your end of the world!

Wow, it's 10pm, and was about to shut down the pc, but then decided to just take a forum peak on this thread -- thank you so much for that information, Ian! Tomorrow I'll download all of them -- it's much much easier to have the planes and then work around them as I build each section!

You take care of yourself, and have a great day!!!

Hi Norm,

Not much biplanes for Trainz: DH Tiger Moth and Dragon Rapide by Ian, and also the Sopwith Camel by Whecsailor. Plus those you are showing in your pic.

You have many in the Sketchup database, to convert to Trainz with Ruby Tmix, but static, many polys and difficult to repaint. This is another story...

Pascal

Low cost airlines now go for long distance flights.

Here an Airbus A330-300 operated by Air Asia-X.

Thanks Pascal I do have the Camels in the far corner of the field in the last shot. The Tiger Moth and Dragon Rapide are bit too modern to have been in a flying circus in the US. Truth be told so is the Condor bomber. I was hoping for Spads, Neiuports, but mainly for Jennys or other two seaters since the bread and butter of a flying circus was selling rides.

The Tiger Moth will fill in until I find more suitable aircraft.

Edit, looks like SketchUp does have some usable aircraft so I guess it is time to learn something new. :D (BTW the poly count doesn't look to bad on some, no worse than speed trees anyway.)
