I've been away on business for a few days so haven't been much help. Sorry about that.

The error on upload is much as Pascal says about the dependencies but when uploading from CCP you will get a dialogue box after you click upload the first time. If you click the "Check none" button it will only try to upload the aircraft & not the dependencies that are more often than not, Vulcan assets which you are not allowed to upload.

P.S. The comparison you've shown above flags up that the location of the Lufthansa logo on the tail is a bit high & maybe a bit small on your re-skin. A bit picky, but you did post the comparison.

That's fine. I just noticed the dialogue box was asking to see if you wanted to upload the dependencies - serves me right for not reading it properly before. Thanks for the info, I will need to be more careful next time!!!

Oh yes, I figured there was something still wrong with it. I shall have to modify that tonight.

On another note, the 747 has just been uploaded to the DLS and should be available soon.

Hate to take away from the passenger plane theme here, but I was wondering if anyone would be willing to build/knows where I can find any of the following aircraft in a drivable asset:

F-15 Eagle
F-35 Lightning
SR-71 Blackbird

If anyone does do the Blackbird, please make it capable of hitting it's true top speed. I believe the max speed for the SR-71 was Mach 3.2 or 3.3.

Welcome to the re-skin club. :wave:

Remember that if you make a mistake or there is an upgrade on offer (like the flashers) you can always "Create a New Version" and upload to DLS again.
Also, it would be worth letting us know (on this thread) what you plan to work on. Pascal & I have fairly long lists of requests and typically have a few on the go at any one time. It saves us doubling up. At the moment I do the Americas & Down under (Aussie & Kiwi) and Pascal does the Eurpean & Asian skins. Africa is anyone's. There are some exceptions but we tend to communicate first.

Right now, I have a British Airways A380 and Emirates 773ER in the works. The A380 has been put on hold until the real plane enters service, because I'm not sure how the tail area will look like on it compared to the various digital mockups on the internet. I also have plans to do a Cargolux 747F, and maybe alter the KLM 747 a bit to become KLM Asia.

I also want to produce static versions of the 747 and A380s, but I'm not sure how to modify the config to be build 2.9, as none of the recent plane releases appear to have static models.

Okay, my DLS search found:
F-15: Nada
F-35: Zilch
SR-71: 3 scenery items, which I lack the know-how to make drivable at the moment, I think it needs invisible bogeys or something, and I know nothing about writing engine specs, which I want to make one specifically for this aircraft so that I can fly at 3 times the speed of sound like a boss.

As for FSX, I'd like to keep everything on one sim, plus I prefer the simple controls of Trainz.

I'll have go at getting the airbridge stuff off over the weekend (I'm going to have to concentrate) but can I ask - will the PEV software reduce the excessive poly count or is that something you had to do before you sent me the links to download? The 3 types you sent me the link for were fine as far as scale and height concerned but the length and angle doesn't fit with most of the terminal structures. It's no use me messing about with alternatives if they have high count because I won't want to use them anyway.

Good to see another aircraft production line set up by freightcar2 with an Emirates 777-300 waiting delivery! Don't know if still the case, but this will be another "genuine" for my July
2012 timetable. Also a BA A.380 in the offing - might be starting a second version when they start operating!

Regarding the jetways files, I suppose the only way to reduce polys numbers is to do it with Sketchup. If you like to learn...!

That will be good Pascal - I've got the 146 operating all their services at moment.

Glad I asked you now - Yes I would like to learn Sketchup just as I would like to try a re-skin but at turned 70 it seems to be getting increasingly difficult to tune into new stuff unless it's straightforward. We're on holiday at the end of next week so maybe after we get back I'll have a bash. In the meantime I'll see if I can at least get some of the stuff onto a test board to size up whether they'll fit in at Heathrow.

Well I'm rapidly running out of time before holiday (I suggested we cancel but my better half thinks I'm joking).

Wondered if anyone could give me quick tip on sketchup8 - I'm trying to crop the Google Earth base out of buildings but seems I need "Layout" which is only available with the Pro version? Is there any other way of doing this? I've tried fiddling about with different things for ages with no result - including trying to export the thing to Paint or to my Photo cropping program.

I've also tried cutting up jetway models into component pieces to make my own models to fit existing gate positions but presume I need to "unbuild" the bits I don't want so I need more time to understand how to do that.

I'd no idea all this stuff was available - I spent ages trying to make my Terminal 5 area look more realistic and the buildings are sat in 3D Warehouse waiting for me!

I shall have another stint in the morning then that's it ...... maybe I'll have a few more pressies waiting for me when I get back ? :udrool::udrool:

To crop the base of a building: select the base, right click, unlock, del. (Unlock turns the red surrouding of the item to blue. Then you can delete°

Thanks Pascal but .....

when I select, the outline is all in blue therefore the only option I get is to lock - which I'm doing.

All then turns red but I can't then just unlock the base no matter what I try - it all turns blue again so lose the lot when I delete.

What am I missing?

Bob, if only one blue box appears, right click, then "explode" (I suppose it's the word they use in English language, because I have it only in French..). You will get after that several boxes, that you can delete if needed.

Before export to TRS, you should explode all boxes.
