Need help

hello all, I am new to the train sim world and I just recently purchased Trainz a new era and trainz 2019 as I've heard they are great games. So after tinkering around I discovered alot of the cooler stuff you have to pay for which is no biggy so I seen the coal country DLC for trainz 2019 so I said heck with it and purchased it, well after the purchase it showed up in my download tab but for some reason It will not show up anywhere in game and I have been through every tab. So after giving up with it I went to trainz a new era ( I bought it on sale from steam with a lot of DLCS included) and I also seen the coal country dlc on sale on steam for $12 so I bought it. now after I purchased it I downloaded everything in my tab when I opened the game and it shows but when I go into play it im missing almost everything. this goes for the Nebraska Harvest DLC as it says its purchased it wont let me play it. it says I have to buy it (already did) it downloads and gives me the I need to buy it option,needless to say I feel like ive spent alot of money to feel let down that nothing is working "as advertised" so to speak. I cannot find a lot of info in google. My steam says the Nebraska Harvest and Coal country is already downloaded and installed. I just need some help before I lose it. Thanks

This is not the case. Most of the coolest stuff for Trainz is on the download station and is available for free. There are also a lot of third party sites providing extremely cool stuff for free. There is no need to pay anything for your content.

If you have already purchased content and it is not working as advertised you should take that up with the seller.

If you just purchased the game why not just run the routes included until you learn how how this works? The routes you purchased work fine. Perhaps you have a bad install or don't understand yet how to run games. It can be pretty overwhelming for the new user. I know because I have had TRS19 only since Oct and I am learning tons every day. Slow down and get the basic operations down before moving on... only my suggestion.

Can you play the other routes/sessions that came with the game? Are you signed in?

Rocky_Road, Welcome to Trainz. I think once you get past this you will find it a lot of fun. I can't speak to 2019, but in the T:ANE Launch window, have you gone to File - Download Purchase Items to make sure it is fully installed? Then if you click on "Manage Content" can you find the routes in your Content Manager? If they say "Missing Dependencies", you can right-click the route and choose "List Dependencies", then sort the list by "status". Shift-click to select everything that says "Available for Download", then right-click and select "download". Unfortunately, the downloads will take a long time unless you pay extra for a "First Class Ticket" Sometimes it is best to do a bunch overnight, and in the morning if there are any left selected (download errors), right-click and select "Download" again. Hope this helps....

Hi and its showing kickstarter county and a few of the dlcs that came with it but just anout everything is missing alot of dependencies. The coal country was missing alot well just about everything. Alot of the routes and sessions were missing alot. Ive downloaded everything in the assests screen and I do have the gold class card so it only took around 30 minutes to download.

Probably just closing it down completely and restarting might clear up some of these problems, shouldn't be any missing dependencies from DLC as they should download when you start the game proper, that's for both TANE and TRS19. It is possible that something went wrong with the download, however try restarting, if that doesn't help then try a database repair, that's Launcher > Developer > Rebuild database.

Just in case? all DLC is downloaded from within the game not from Steam, it comes direct from N3V irrespective of where you bought it.

You also need to make sure you have used the same Trainz username for all purchases whether from Steam or N3V. Looks like you may be OK though as you have TANE, TANE Deluxe and TRS19 in your timeline, not sure how you ended up with 2 TANES, however I wouldn't worry about that at the moment.

Oh and welcome to Trainz, hang in there it will get sorted, if none of the above works the helpdesk, link at top of forum, should sort it out, they usually get things fixed quickly.

Hi there and thank you. The above mentioned the missing items which with his instructions I did figure that out and just about everything is missing quite a bit so I'm going through both TANE and 19 to download the missing items. This is just a bit overwhelming but I'm hoping this works. Everything seemed to download ok with no errors and I did exit out of both games numerous times just to make sure. I appreciate all the help smd I will keep plugging away at it.
