Nature Screenshots! (BIG and NUMEROUS pictures!)

This exactly makes the difference between a good and a perfect object.

My observation is, that most oversea images are on a high level of abstraction, painted with a monotonous green meadow and do not care about the thousand possible green's. Same with concretes. To select models for a good layout is an art itself.

gearhead2578: Thank you for the kind words..I too believe it is an Art form..I work on my texturing alot trying to make things the way I want to see them..Turning the textures making sure they are headed in the right direction..Using small circles to apply(brush)..Blending is also a unique feature that a lot of people don't use..Blending is what I need to work on..Happy Trainzing..

Long focus shot

Good afternoon everyone.

Here’s another take on the newly found (for me) zoom function in Driver cab view.

I wasn’t sure whether this shot should have been in one of the steam threads or here. I guess there’s more nature than steel, so here it is!

Cheers
Casper

This thread is incredible. There is so much talent in here. You guys are artists.

This photo is a representation of an old station which was closed back in 1981.
It's located in Australia. The station name is Carlwood and it's located on the Oberon branch line in New South Wales.

Nice to see some excellent new compositions being posted amongst the regulars in this thread. Nice work guys.:Y:

I’ve gone with a maritime theme this evening on the Italian Riviera.

Anchored off Camogli.

Awesome everyone, looks like uve mastered that zoom function already casper :) Love your shots as always.

@Dimi, ive got some pics of that line somewhere on my computer, that was a great line to explore hmm...

@BobCass Thanks Bob!

@Zorronov Thanks Fred!

@scratchy

I really do like the zoom function. My only criticism is that it cannot be used with fixed or tracking cameras. You therefore have to go through quite a few hoops to get that sort of view as a one-off, rather than just setting it up for the ride in Driver to have it displayed automatically for anyone else using your Route.

I did put up a post in the Suggestion Boxcar a while back, but it didn’t get any replies. No support for this one by the look of it then, (or I didn’t explain it very well!)

I still think that a camera view of a train moving through an easily achieved compressed close up view would be a great Driver experience. Maybe one day!

Camogli, Italian Riviera

Good evening everyone.

Having finishing the nearby railway station I’ve been modelling a bit more around the seafront and harbour area.

Great shots Casper! I see that the London bus is lost again :)

I haven't contributed much to this thread, I tend to go more for the 'big picture' than intricate detail, but I swung the camera around in Surveyor today and unexpectedly came upon this view, which is actually the back of a scene...

Nice shot Andy. I like your mix of old tin and fresh vegetation. The technique you’ve developed with the field weeds blending into the darker shrub and tree vegetation is working really well. Great choice of a really detailed but subtle sky too!

Let’s hope we see more.:Y:

Yup. The bus is still on the harbour wall with a couple of other jayholland vintage creations.

I really ought to move them. The Mediterranean sunlight and salt air is doing them no good at all!:o

Beautiful shot, Andy. :Y: Overgrown barn/farm building scenes like that exist in real life right in my area.

Zachary.
