Nature Screenshots! (BIG and NUMEROUS pictures!)

That looks good Jeremy!

It would be a great replacement for the kitbashed version shown on the screenshots somewhere back up this thread, and would be very much appreciated. But please only do it if you have time. I’m doing work on some European mountain stuff at the moment, but plan to return to the Salisbury historical steam railway Route eventually.

Your model is far more likely to have the English Heritage seal of approval than my effort. :D

GREAT shots, EVERYBODY.

mezzoprezzo: I am impressed with how nice you manage to get to it with "old 2004".
It is always a pleasure to see your beautiful route building and pictures :).

Hi Derrmy, where to find the BP filling station from your screenshot?

Gas Station BP Derelict by dinorious-redundicus on the DLS 2:68213:26026:1 and a really really nice bit of content!

@ Casper - truly superb my friend, wonderfully atmospheric shots!

Thanks Erik and Andy.

I’ve been playing with the time settings this evening.

Here’s the same area looking at the alpine ridges at dawn.

Cheers
Casper

Work in progress

Thanks for your nice comments Bob & Frédo.

Most of my shots are carefully staged for trackside cameras. Here’s how the part of the route I’m creating at the moment really looks when viewed from a wider angle. There's not really very much there. The last three mountain shots were all taken from this area.

I tend to complete the detail in sections, then move on to the next bit. It suits me because it prevents boredom and I can more easily pick up successful looking textures and assets to save me having to find them again. I have a better visual memory, (I nearly always forget the names of assets, particularly the foreign ones), so the completed areas act as a handy colour palette and asset warehouse.

Thanks as always to the original software makers and all of the great asset creators, new and old. Where would we be without them!
