This is in Surveyer mode Reference THIS picture so you can follow along and understand my idea.
In all the tabs at the right there are basically the same six icons in each, white arrows pointed at them and they are as follows;
Add Object (plus sign)
Move Object (bent arrow)
Rotate Object (circular arrow)
Get Object (tuning fork)
Delete Object (X)
Edit Properties (?)
As of right now, if I want to move a building on the map I have to click on the building tab, then click on the Move Object icon in order to move it. Then if I want to move a track marker or section of track I then have to click on the track tab and re-select the Move Object icon again on that tab.
Why in the word can't these six basic commenly used icons be in a seperate window above or below the edit tabs and always be available? If I want to move a building, then a track section, then a track marker, then a tree, I can just click on the Move Object icon ONCE and be able to move all those objects one right after the other without having the rediculess hassle of having to click on the tab the object resides in first, just to perform the same function??
Now obviously when your in some editing tabs a couple of those six functions don't apply, so the simple solution is, when you click on one of the tabs where one or more of those icons won't pertain, they simply gray out and are not selectable.
I don't know who designed the user interface to be this way, and why it's not commen since to make it more user friendly as I described it could be above, but it gets to be a hassle and pain in the arse when you have to go from one editing tab to the next just to have the ability to perform the same editing task.
If I click the Move Object icon, I should then be able to move any object on the map no matter what tab I have open and shouldn't be forced to have a specific tab open just to do so.
Auran if you want to make your game more efficent and more user friendly, here you go!!
