A fix for track not acting like track until N3V fixes the bug.

Trainzing since 12-2003
Go into Content Manager.
Click on the small arrow next to the word Filter: Installed.

This will expand the filter.
Click on the + sign located on the right.

You will see Asset KUID.
Scroll that until you see Category.
On the right side of that, change the category to track.

Highlight all your track by clicking on one and pressing CTRL+A to select them all.

Right-click on one of them and choose Open for editing.

Wait until all are opened for editing and then:

Right click and choose submit.

Any built-in or packaged assets can't be submitted. You will need to right-click on those again and choose Revert to original.

This should reset your track.

Here I the same issue with "incompatible spline" error message. Did all the proposed as fix for this issue but without any success.
Does anyone know another possible solution as open for edit and revert to original as well as re submit my tracks didn't do anything to solve.

This was one of the first things I tried. It did not help. I can place items on the track once but trying to move them after they wont snap to it.

What has worked for me is to go into the CM and selecting the problem track. I then delete it and then re-download it from the DLS. This has worked for me on about 10 different tracks. It changes the status from “modified” to “installed from DLS”

Tried that with some track I'm using & it didn't work. Still getting the "Incompatible Spline" error. Guess I'm stuck waiting until N3V actually patches this thing (if ever).

Delete and redownload the track, or export first to a cdp and then reimport it. That was the method Laurence mentioned in the N3V workaround. Who knows, this might work.
 
Not so long ago i wrote a post in this forum about the system with tracks and splines being too confusing..it was as if I had punched a hornest's nest by the look of the reactions, I made a problem about something that wasn't a problem at all, and more like that.

I hope you don't mind me laughing now?
 
Here is the solution that worked for me 100%:

Open the track asset's config. file
1. Add this line:

member-of-groups {
0 <kuid:30501:100043>
1 <kuid:30501:100050>
}

2. Add the above kuids to the kuid-table:

I have used this work-around on procedural track and non pro track

Well 12 hrs plus now install patch, several hour EDBR, fix missing assets, wait 45 min to open the route menu and track still showing incompatible spline and I seen a couple of textures (AURAN PBR built-ins) unknown file location so I attempted delete missing assets and of course game froze up like what happens doing a bulk replace...
Anything else I need to worry about?

Thank you so much on this idea., first of all I use RTXT pbr track from Jointed Rail so automatically when installing its modified by default...
Anyways I tried it by adding all track and associated assets since it is a pbr track and reinstalled and it works so far...
