More AI stuff....

I have a power plant bypass marker, AI sees another train on the bypass waiting to cross a bridge so it diverts into the power plant, sees another train on the bridge, this leaves the 'go via xxxx marker' in place so it reverses back and creates chaos,
Direction marks are of no use as the power plant is fed from both ends.
I need a 'Go to marker and nowhere else' rule, unless someone knows another method.

The "other method" ... Drive like real trains do ... with a driver in the cab, moving the control levers ... or as a conductor riding the last car, or on the ground giving directions to the engineer :hehe:

There is no AI on real RR's ... even ROCO trackside control is like using Trainz keyboard commands, like flying a model aeroplane

I could see that one coming :)

Don't get me wrong ... AI is great fun for long distance driving on a mainline track ... but driving on an industrial switching route it will drive you absolutely nutz (as I should know), as to why did that train go forward a mile, then back up a mile, then sit there like a half frozen pigeon, standing there dumbfoundly looking at a green signal, blinking it's eyes (AI drivers are somewhat like pigeons, following a detailed, well laid out, progressive line, of bread crumbs ... and they can be equally as dumb) :hehe:

Lord u guys crack me up with verbage, excellent info, as I'm new to Trainz, still learning how to paint by color on hard scape....AI is whole nother..animal...thanks for great info.....

If you placed a trackmark just past the junctions at each end of the PS loop (inside the loop junctions) then use Drive Via Trackmark, the AI should wait for the track to clear to the next TM.
AI is very interesting to use especially if you run Trainz as I do, as dispatcher. Not everyone wants to sit in a cabin looking at track, can be very boring.
Cheers,
Mike
