Montana Rail Link MP V2 OP-Session's (This aint your daddy's circle burning)

Hello Jib, wlcome back, I,ll get back to you on the Industries. I lost my list but there,s only a few that need working on. I know there are three in Billings.

The only session for this route is on the DLS. We haven't had a session in a while due to a few things.

1. I have been busy as hell.
2. Ive been working on my new route.
3. I think with many of our crews ether having to go back to school, or having issues at home, we have been short handed for crews.

But your more then welcome to download the route, and to host your own session. I might start hosting them again some time soon.

I,m working on another project, producing a timetable for a signalling simulation and waiting for Jib to fix a few Industries in Montana Rail Link 2.8 Maybe I ought to host a session although I,m on a crap shift until next wednesday. It,s a great route and an even greater session but like Jib said we have a shortage of crews and we really need quite a few for the session to reach it,s full potential. I would say we need a bare minimum of 5 people in the session. About 10 is what it needs to work properly and any more than 10 would be a bonus. Anyway I had better stop gassing and come to the point of this post. I have remembered three industries that need working on. Conco Auto Plant has a ratio of 1 car produced for each unit of products consumed which is way to low. If you think about it an autorack carries a lot more cars than, say a coil car so the ratio should be about 5 to one in favor of the cars. Of course even that may need adjusting but I feel thats about right for now. Actually I,m trying to remember how many cars an Autorack can carry but the ratio should reflect the amount a Coil Car (and the other inputs) can carry compared to an Autorack. Which reminds me, when you are reversing toto the sidings the cars derail before they hit the stops. I have no idea why. Smeed & Sons in Billings is not consuming enough scrap I,m thinking the amount of Steel Coils at the start should be 50 and not 250 as no scrap is consumed anyway. The amount of scrap consumed is too low. I,m still trying to work out the amount, in tonnes, in my own session for this typical commodity but I,m thinking maybe between 5-10 tonnes a minute rather than one. Again, it will probably need to be adjusted. Daves Skid Loader needs fixing. There is no queue for the Diesel Fuel which screws it up basically. Had a look at Ikea Lumber Supply in Billings. The ratio is correct but there is no start amount for each. Maybe you coul have a start amount of, say 50 max for each with the max amount set at 250 each, which I think it is now.

Ill take a look into them in the next few days Colour.

But like I have said a few times. I am working two job's, and have a new project that I am working on, and Id like to focus 100% on it when in Trainz.

For now I will continue to support MRL, until N5VAV release's his DEM version of the route. But until then I'll keep up with my MRL. Now Colour, I would let you make your own version, but I am really against seeing 2 or 3 versions of the same route. BUT, I do think I have all the layer issues resolved, so you could try to make your own sessions if you like. As in, if you wanted to replace locomotives and what not. Just note that you'd have to update your session when ever I update my route.

Last thing, I'm going to try and come up with a new schedule for hosting sessions. Most likely I'll do Fridays, as it's the one day of the week I get off. But I might only do it one Friday a month. But I'll see what I can work out.

Thanks Jib. If I make a new session I could fix or adjust the Industries as necessary. Rolling Stock is pretty good as it is. I could tinker with the locomotives to make two pairs rather one set of three to increase the overall sets of locomotives which could then be used to replace derailments but overall the session doesn,t really need much else. As for replacing derailed cars there are solutions but they all have drawbacks e.g. Rerail Portals, Cloning. The one thing the session really needs, which neither of us can do much about, is more people to play it! Then it would be really good. THere doesn,t seem to be that many people playing UMR compared with a few months ago. Still, now the Fall (See, i can speak your lingo, lol) is apon us we may see more people in the multiplayer sessions. The only thing in the Route that bugs me is the low speed restrictions, especially the 10 mph in Livingston exiting the Depot and the one in Laurel Yard. If you change them to, say 15 mph I,ll be happy.

I have the current session downloaded and it says i'm missing dependencies that cant be found on the content manager. Also will not let me load the session since i am missing these. doing some updates to see if it will fix it.

As we speak I am uploading V2.9. All I did was fix Dave's Skid Loaders, and re worked the power plants. I set them to consume a little less coal per minuet, meaning that we shouldn't have to feed them as much. As for the other industries, while yes Colour, the 1 to 1 ratio is low and less prototypical. I have them set as such so we don't spend hours trying to gather all the parts to build 1 car. With them set like that you can see results much faster. My new route will have its industries set much more prototypical.

I also added a few more locomotives with out drivers in the Laural area, so you can shuffle them around a bit if you like.

And Colour, I don't know if you can edit industries in a new session as it might affect the route layer.

I'm running ts12 build 49922, after the content updates it still shows missing dependencies. Not allowing me to load the session. Is there some other route i need to download to make this work or do i need to go over everything in content manager to try and find missing dependencies?

Gman, I might see about putting up some sort of fun run/free form op-session on Tuesday, the 18th. Just to see if I cant get people to show up and run some trains. Then one of these Fridays I'll put together a full blown op-session. I want to get a few fun runs in so we can all learn the route, for those who might not know it too well.
