I have finally closed my session after 3-4 days. The main reason I closed was that very few people were actually joining it. Several people attempted to join but Trainz crashed on them so I guess we need to find out why and fix it. In one or two cases it may be their computer but I suspect there is more to it than that. My only sugestion is to do an extended database repair and then restart your computer. I think you should also be running Direct X 9 which is and should be downloaded from these forums. Now on to fixes. Not much I,m pleased to say. Only one broken Industry which is Davies Skid Loader in billings. Do we need it to consume Diesel which I don,t think is really neccessary?. But if you do want to keep it it needs to have the queue added which is why it,s broken. And all the other amounts are far too low anyway. Smeed & Sons scrap needs some adjustments on the scrap side as it,s not really working. I understand they are not linked now. That being the case the reference to Smeed & Sons in the industry box ought to be deleted. Likewise all refferences to Steel Coil in the Unloading Track should be deleted. The max amount of scrap is too low and ought to be at least 255,000 which is just over 3 cars. I didn,t check the consumtion rate which may be ok. The Steel Coil Loading track is fine. Conoco Cars needs some adjusting as not enough cars are being produced. I have considered it carefully and I suggest changing the duration from 30 to 60 seconds and doubling the amount to be consumed/produced for all commodities except for the Steel Coil which should be unchanged, which ought to increase the amount of cars being produced overall. A more serious problem at Conoco is the derailments that occur. Cars derail before they reach the end of the sidings and I cannot see any reason for this when I look in surveyor. The only comments I can make are that the End of track Stops are a type I am not familar with and I,m wondering if they have anything to do with it?. The Invis track is also a type I,m not familiar with but I,m less likely to suspect that is the cause. Billings Int I wish to make the following comment. I havn,t yet tried unloading trailers which remained empty so it wasn,t producing containers or consuming General Goods, so apart from loading containers that were there at the beginning of the session it remains untested. Also because I was playing on my own for nearly all of the time I spent most of my time working in Billings so I couldn,t try any of the Industries at other locations although I know some of them definately work ok. Other problems which do not affect gameplay. Broken track point switch 5052 for Billing Autoparts which is rather disconcerting to watch trains pass over but does not derail them. There is also a nearby foot crossing which would be better placed in a theme park! It would make a great Roller Coaster, lol. Track could do with re aligning in a few places but I,m not going to bother with that. Rolling Stock... As I mentioned, Jib we need another rake of Trailer cars and a few more Reefers for Meat (frosen) pallet. Just out of interest is that how you spell Frozen in the USA? We spell it with a Z and not a S. Just curious. I would also like to see more locomotives as insurance against derailments. In particular two sets of Conrail Locomotives would be nice (one driverless Unit between two Cab units) as I use them for the Billings Coal train. Maybe another rake of coal cars for the same reason given their importance in the session so we would then have two spare sets. I think thats about it except I feel the speed limits are generally too low. What I really want to see is the abolition of the 10 mph limits at the exits to Laurel and Livingston Locomotive depots and the Yard in Laurel as it takes forever to get anywhere. How about 20 mph instead? I don,t know if there are any in Helena.
