I have created a new session for Montana Rail Link 12 MP called v2.9b which I have just downloaded from the Black Pages. I am about to start a session which will run for a few days, dependent on the Multiplayer Server actually working for once!. It is not that much different to Jib,s as I didn,t want to make huge changes. The route is the same so if you already have 2.9 you will only need to download the session. The only thing that bothers me is the Red Spider which may be caused by the new Chesapeake Locomotives of which I added two at the last minute. So if nobody can join my session I,ll have to take a look at it. Here are the changes From Jib,s session. All Industries have been reviewed and adjusted and further adjustments may be necessary after the first session. A few Industries have had their commodities changed. Big Mikes Shipping no longer handles General Goods. Winston Co-op no longer produces Grain. Diesel is produced at Exon near Billings and unloaded at Bozman LPG only although I may add another unloading point in a future version. LPG is only produced at Laurel and unloaded at Bozman LPG. The other thing I should mention is a reminder that some Industries are Lars which means that the Cars (un)load over a period of time and are not broken. You can even uncouple the locomotive(s) from the train and leave them there to be dealt with. These are the same as Jib,s version, Billings Tractors, Beattie Construction in Logan, Mikes Earth Movers in Belgrade and Vincents Plumbing on the Great Falls Branch Line. Rolling Stock, again very few changes. One additional set of Trailer Flats at Livingston and an additional rake of Frozen Meat cars at Billings which will add built in redundancy to counteract derailments. I also reinstated one rerail Portal as a kind of Insurance Policy which will usually replace one consist before it gives up. Locomotive Changes. All locomotives are in pairs except for one at Great Falls which performs Switching duties and four pairs designated for Coal traffic which have a booster power unit. One of these is a Conrail set at Livingston which again, is built in redundancy and can be used for other duties unless it is needed for Coal traffic. It just occured to me that I never added a second loco in Livingston Roundhouse. There are only two new Locomotives added which are a pair of Great Northern GP 30,s in Helena and a pair of the new Chesaspeake loco,s in Laurel. Overall by removing the third locomotive from a set and adding an additional pair there is an increase in the number of locomotives overall which once again adds to the built in redundancy. I think that,s about it. Naturally the Railway Infrastucture, signalling, speed restrictions etc!, Industries and scenery are unchanged. Now for the part you will not believe! (Or maybe you will, lol) While I was composing this post Multiplayer and Ichat went offline, No, really, you say in amazement!. So I may have to put my session on hold for an hour, day, week etc! I understand Jib would like to hold a session on Friday subject to there being no problems joining his sessiion and multiplayer being restored. If so I,ll take my session down for it.
