Could someone point me in the direction to find the door & calendar shown here? I've started another slightly larger layout and I'd like to have both of these in it...
Thanks in advance.

Edit: SuperFudd, the route I've started uses a bridge over a walkway, one reason I'm asking where to find the door...

Seeing the mention of shadows reminded me of a potential problem. Most of these layouts will be seen from one or two sides so before starting, make sure shadows are ON, place a model on the plain board and then move around the board so that the shadow is away from the viewer. This will ensure that your trains are fully lighted. Of course, with the need to follow the grid, you have four options for light direction.

I once saw a train layout, with a wooden hand carved mallard duck decoy, sitting on the floor under the platform ... It took me a couple seconds to figure its use out ... AHHH ... a "Duck Under" the train platform :hehe: Watch your head !

Duck under?
OH!! NOW I get it. :D

By the way. Is there a way to stop the clock (day, night) when making one of these layout?
Thanks for the bridge answer. I should have known that. :o

This is quite possibly the greatest idea ever finally executed in the most perfect way.

The section along the wall by the door is VR Broad Gauge, running along the corner. At the engine shed there it will meet the VR 2ft6 narrow gauge line which will continue around the room with spurs to NG tramways running towards the center of the room, a complicated but still easy project :)
Oh, and this is all to O scale. I built a smaller door 48 times the size of a normal door as to display the railway as 1:48 scale as Adam did with his 1:67 (HO) scale door.

Thanks Kimo for finally finding out how to get it right and those who contributed their efforts to the bits and pieces that make up a layout:D

Cheers

That's some very tidy benchwork Stevo!

Ceiling looks great too, almost like a soundproof panelling. What's the item name you've used for it?

Thanks eso, I pride myself on the results of my perfectionism 'condition' :hehe:
The ceiling is from the DLS, asset 'Concrete ceiling v2 50m. wide'. You need to align them next to each other but its not that hard with the aid of the grid :) I have it raised here 170 units in the spline tab from the floor for O scale, you might need it a little higher for HO

Perfect, cheers :)
I've been using 200 for ceiling height which looks about right for HO scale

Can't seem to find these

-------Shadows (uncheck that box)
I've been curios about the shadows - couldn't one create an asset - say a floor object or similar, and then place that object slightly below the surface of the scenery? My thought is that it would receive the shadows from trains and other objects and block those shadows from reaching the "floor".
