Model Railroadz

Crazy awesome detail, Felix! My computer would be brought to it's knees long before getting to that point! I'm good with with making fields - gotta stay away from building cities haha

Seconded! :D
Felix, are those buildings along the back wall by anyone in particular? I've been trying to make similar scenes for years but can never find the right buildings to fit the time and place that work on a hill...

Cheers

Mmmmmmmmm . . . Hot-and-fresh Krispy-Kreme doughnuts. I need to get some next time I go to Chattanooga (Tennessee).

Felix....your work is outstanding....everything works.I've stared at every square centimetre of that top screenshot and it's perfect.Would love that building at the corner with the awning.

Thank you guys for the comments!

@Stevo: The town buildings up the hill and along the backdrop are all by dmdrake.
The one next to the donut store is named Cumberland-Brewery-Pub, further up the hill there are several of the Muncie series. Took me quite some time trying out several combinations of buildings to finally find the right ones... replacing one by another one can already change the look of the entire scene.

@hotgrove: Nothing's ever perfect. I think the two girls trying to get into the 2 door Lincoln Continental are not that happy with their heels sunk into the ground... LOL

I've opened this thread on numerous occasions today to take yet another look at these latest screenshots.I would love to have seen a video of your working technique Felix to see how you put this little corner of your route together. From the placement of buildings on the gentle incline to the bridges with rail going over and under and the textures plus all the other features, i'm still calling it flawless regardless of a couple of sinking heels. This must have been intricate to create......once again....superb work sir.

A bit of British (still a work in progress)...

Edit: I've just noticed the TOPS coding on the General Utility Vehicle (GUV) in the foreground, Ooops :o, this is a bit out of period as this coding was not introduced until (circa) 1970.

...Itareus, where'd ya get those MK1's? They don't look like the ones from the S&C...

They are not MK1s, although similar. It's an understandable mistake, they are Stanier period III coaches which ( I think ) had a big influence on the design of the MK1 stock.

They come from a N3V DLC package. A lot are included with the Duchess and possibly some more with the Coronation Scot (I can't remember :(). You'll get more info on Simulator Central.
