Another few updates: Tunnel #28 (km 14-17) has been removed and transformed into a cut. I hated the more than a mile long darkness

Also, many tens of thousands of bushes and small trees were removed in the distant scenery. Barely noticeable, but having an effect on frame rate and even route size (619mb -> 602mb)
 
Finalized another version suitable for driving. So everything on this map is what's finished right now, 113km / 70 miles, compared to the 62km that were originally given out to a few people

Another 120km are currently WIP and what you see as desert, second harbor and street running in the pictures from the last few posts

Total planned distance for now is at about 250km, so nearly half way there now :)

I'm gonna have to rework a bunch of the red areas though, for performance reasons and because they look somewhat outdated to whats possible these days

I'm also thinking about having others test the route and its performance on different systems + visual/signalling errors, as my two original project members are busy with other stuff these days. The latest TRS 22 build (v5.6 Route) would be required for that

Edit: Actually, i may go as far as deleting the Harbors and rebuilding them from scratch, smaller and more efficient.

Man, I would hate to see anything downgraded on those beautiful harbors! You did an outstanding job on them, but you are the creator, so you have license to make any chanes!
 
I did start to get rid of some parts of the harbor that aren't needed, won't be too noticeable. It did not however improve performance. Meh...Also thinned out the forest by 15% and deleted all shrubs/bushes within (not noticeable either really)

Thanks man (y) Took a few years to get to this point, and on a mission to replace a lot of assets and textures right now to get rid of PBR. It's ruining the performance - or so i think right now. So the looks are slightly changing again. Maybe not for the better, but hopefully the route will be playable again one day
