losing portal configuration

i am using 2010 and when i configure portal basic it works the first time i run the session but whenever i close and go back to the game all the configuration has gone and i have to reset it again. is this normal or am i missing something?

Is this in driver or surveyor? If it is surveyor you need to reopen the session not the map, as it is the session that stores the info not the map.

i configure it in surveyor and save it then start session which works the first time but then disappears in future sessions

what layer are you working in.. it will be saved if youdoing it in a session layer ,not a route layer

Does anyone know how to set up a re-railing portal to consume a train that has derailed??Because when a one of my train derails. That set never comes back but the portal clones another set that is already in use...Any Suggestions???

Normally, if a re-rail portal is set up to re-rail a train (by going into it's properties and placing a tick next to 'Re-rail derailed trains') it will produce the same train where possible or it will produce an exact copy of the derailed train with schedule.
