Look what I stumbled on.

Ok, everyone but myself may already know this, but I only just stumbled on it.
Use one of Lars Ljungberg's Warehouse signs [ KUID:30671:23111 ] on a building, Place your Business name on it by using the question mark on the bottom right hand side of the Objects Menu, by 'clicking' on it then on the Warehouse sign to name it.

Now for what I stumbled on, use the 'Move Object' tool and carefully move the sign back into the building until only the wording is showing on the face of the building, You may have to try a few times till you get it just where you want, This way it will look as if you have painted the name on the actual building side, OK, but it looks neat.

Now that is a really good tip!

Thanks for that. I would never have thought of trying that. I can use it in plenty of places.

Cheers

This is a good tip to bring out. This is probably possible with a lot of the editable signs since attachment point for the lettering is normally placed a small distance in front of the sign to stop the flickering that will occur if the two textures are too close together.

Street lamps make excellent lighting fixtures over doors on Industrial buildings once you hide the pole inside the building
