Logging in

i have it now but for almost 10 days i have reregistered more time than i care to think. they told me the username had to be at least 5 letters or more. yet here i am with the original username of three letters. ?????? i do appreciate your help.
so i did find out that i have to get the gold to download the superliners on their website.

I don't think it's possible to even have your username changed! You could try to contact N3V support to request your username to be changed to your newly chosen username.

I'm also thinking that John would be right! Changing your username could completely bugger things up, especially relating to your Trainz purchases! I did try to find an option to change username...

Probably best if a team member from N3V team would best explain ;)

I don't know if it has changed, but when I registered back in 2013 the password could not have any special characters, so keep that in mind when trying to create a password for N3V.

Prior to that, we could use non-alphanumeric characters. One day my trusty old train-related password no longer worked and I had to come up with another.

This isn't a good thing because it's those non-alpha characters that can decrease the hackability of a user's account substantially. With most logins to other services requiring long passwords, passphrases, and at least one non-alphanumeric character plus an uppercase, N3V's services really are a security risk. They may think that Trainz is a nothing program with a handful of users, but any service that has logins is ripe for picking. Many users use the same username for many services along with the same passwords. Requiring complex passwords or passphrases helps mitigate the risk of an attack.
