Kuji Rail sim release date Friday 5th October 2007

@Lance_Jago
you forget a little bit for your poll

-Got it - and be back in Trainz
-Got it - and deinstall it
-Got it - and resell it

I copy my post from here http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showpost.php?p=186936&postcount=24

I test TRS2006 demo today:
fps 11-30 on my old PC. KRS runs with more fps and better grafic.

BUT, Trainz is more useable "out of the demo-box" in driving-mode.

KRS is for me a DRIVING-Simulator (ONLY) with Trainz I can do many things more.
There are:
-no interactive industries

-you can not say to the traindriver "Go to... and make this and this...than go to..."

-The editor is better as in MSTS, but with Trainz - no chance.
*for example "Turntables" or to make "Junctions" the first look is easy, but edit the track and make new junctions... when you want to complete "The junction destroy it self or the track be a little bit shorter.
I has try it many hours, I give it up.

I have a friend, he is for me one of the "kings of landscape and railroad building with Trainz" He has test it too.
So many users say "I can't do what I want" - That is Rail Simulator - Editor. The other things are "eyecandys...for example the good grafic".
KRS is for me a blender.

-when you be in free-driving-mode, there only one Train - yours.
When you want more trains - you must drive it too.
I can't find any KI/AI in free driving mode.
there are only some more trains in scenario-mode.

-the game crash here 5x in some days (become it on the 19.10.2007). Yesterday (my last day with KRS) the game freeze.

After 2 years of using nothing to do with Trainz (my last was TRS2004) - I buy KRS. Play it, deinstall it, resell it.

Download me the TRS2006 demo - found 11 fps (KRS 21-up to over 80 and more).
But there is one thing, the best in Trainz - I have fun.
I hope Trainz runs better with my new pc.

I'm home again - and I have buy me today my copy of Trainz 2007 (TRS2006)

Here are the bugs: http://www.railsimulator.com/node/145

P.S. A new Trainz ONLY with better grafic would be cool.
Functions have it enough - my only wish for function was:
"Klick with the mouse and some doors open or close."
For example Rail-Yards. That's can be nice: Drive the train in the evening in the yard, close the door with a "klick" the animation close it and I shutdown the pc
Sorry all for my bad english.

23 and up! :hehe:

That wouldn't be worrying except for the fact that only 4 seem to be corrected still! It seems to me that the patch won't be announced for a couple of months. Anyway, I insist on highlighting this fact: Recognizing the buggy list honours Kujuans since it is not easy to show that long list and keeping the shop opened still.

The buggy situation is starting to be eased by users, as always (Trainz is not an exception to this either ).

For instance, a kind user (Karma99) at uktrainsim.com has created an application tool for solving the incredible :n: lack of a funcionality for removing routes you created, or tried to create, and don't like at all. Or simply they are hurting your eyes.

http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=218&t=75357

What were Kujuans thinking of when they forgot to include this functionality? Perhaps they are self-convinced that their new toy is so perfect that nobody will have to remove any route. :p

Be patient with RS, you'll need it!

US Ship Date

Checking ebgames.com this morning it looks like the date for the US release has been pushed back to 1/7/2008. Anyone know why?

William

So they can release the patched and de-bugged version, not the sorry half finished excuse of a game we got here in Europe/UK.

Even SCS Bus Driver game, which is by no means perfect, shipped with more to do out the box than (EA) RS!

Disambiguation: I guess William's using US date format and means 7-Jan-08, not 1-Jul-08 as it would be in UK date format.

John

but KUJU has it ALL in the bag folks

No, Tommy, RS is not for me. After serious testing and going deep, RS has been deceptive for a lot of people, me amongst them.

I'm too old to start debugging stuff! And too young and lazy to start it over!:hehe:

It doesn't give me any extra enjoyment which Trainz cannot give right now! No, Tommy don't count me in aboard RS, unless for testing stuff or evaluating some asset-making procedures.

Take care,

Alberte

Hmmm, I wonder how many inhabitants of Birmingham, England feel exactly the opposite! Quite a few I suspect :) :) Apologies for the digression.

John

I'm open to an exchange program.

As an aside, Birmingham, Al was named for Birmingham, England. Iron and steel production played a big part in the early growth of the city. Sadly, all that remains is a few rusting museum exhibits.

Maybe if/when they get a plug-in for Blender, which they mentioned for after 3D Canvas, may consider it, if a little more user-friendly than present, as sounds if may be a bit hard on the brain power of this pensioner.;)

Mind you same applies to gmax as forgotten how to use it now.

Hello Tommy

You must be very busy at your Toronto office in Canada.

Same as Alberte, Kuju is not for me ethier, I'm with Auran and Trainz.:)

Hope everything goes well for you and maybe I want to see Kuju's developer tools once released and unless you want some beta testing done, I'm happy to do that for you.:D

Regards

Ahsan:)

Er.....I don't feel the need the need to change Trainz Sims at this time either TT, but best of luck in your new venture.
