Before we get too carried away creaming our jeans over these locos, what do you expect from pay ware locos? At least to operate reasonably in cab mode. Most K&L locos do this. Two I bought don't C&O E27 wouldn't run at all in cab mode. I got a rather blithe reply from Steve Lerro that it was configured to run only in DCC mode. SP Mountain, tender isn't set up to load fuel and water, loco driver's leg hang down beneath cab, blows huge amount of smoke. I fixed these issues for both locos, no fix for driver position. While these are both excellently made locos, I don't think customers should have to fix such basic problems.

Who said you had to fix them? You asked a while ago about the CAB mode and I said it wasn't set up for that and it would be resolved in the future. And it was. The SP tender was also updated a while ago with a fillable tender. The smoke is a twinkle file which many models still use...so there isn't actually a problem there, you just don't like it. And Bill's editable files were lost a bit back in HD failure, so the attachment point for the engineer cant be changed unfortunately.

I don't have them all, but I for one have really enjoyed all the engines from K&L, my only complaint is the need for more PRR.
