K&L Trainz Steam Locomotive pics!

All these beautiful shots while Im still fighting with rebuilding my DB (Dead HDD a few months ago, just now getting back into Trainz). All I can do is post something from months (Almost over a year?) ago from TS12. I posted it in another thread already, but I like it:

Falcus, thanks for the post with the N&W video. On same youtube page I found "Pillars of Smoke In The Sky 1957 Original Unedited" and took a look it. A railfan photographer rode a N&W coal train eastbound across the Blue Ridge mts. Dialog mentioned a typical train would have maybe 144 cars with about even mix of 50 and 70 ton hoppers so about 8000 tons on drawbar. Started out with an A class road engine and a Y6 on the head. Later added a Y6 pusher on the rear as the grade increased. 1957 was the last year of operation for these locos IIRC. Various shots of the 3 locos struggling to move the tonnage up hill was quite impressive. They could really put out some smoke and steam.

Maybe Norm saw it too because several of his screen shots could have been lifted right from the video (color cleaned up considerable of course).

Well, with Tony Hinting at a release of TS12 built-in content soon, it'd be interesting to try and update their appalachia Mountains route, since IIRC that had Lynchfield to Blue Ridge. I suppose I could go attempt to bogart it out of my TS12 install, but eh.

Anyway, no worries about the vid post, I felt it was pertinent considering K&L's awesome steamers. Money's tight atm, or I'd already have them ^^;.

Getting the N&W TS12 route into TANE was relatively painless other than replacing a large number of older speedtrees with mcguirel's newer payware. I'm pretty sure Steve's seen the Pilliars of Smoke video because he made both the Class A and Js needed as well as the two different aux tenders needed for getting the simulation of the video done.

I'd already pulled all the speedtrees from my TS12 version so maybe I had a head start. It came over pretty easily as did the Y6b since I'd cloned a version in 12 to play around with.

When I saw the A's in Steve's stable I was really tempted. I'm still holding out for the arrival of the Hippos but at some point all resistance will be futile.

All resistance is futile but you can pickup wva-usa's Y-3 on the DLS if you do not already have it, might delay the inevitable.

Y-3 on left Class A on right. Alliance Coal Processing Plant Narrows, VA .

Holy, all of these images are just breathtaking, you must have taken a really long time to edit the lightning effects of all of these.

Also i have the N&W A Class and the Frisco T-54 shown here, as well as a few others.
