I am not new to Trainz, I have played it on my brother's computer for a while (2009 WBE)

I just purchased 2010 EE and I am waiting to download it. I just have a few small questions:

1. If Windows decides to blow up, and a meteorite breaks my backup disks, and I need to download Trainz again, can I do it from the links in my email, or do I have to contact the help desk, or am I screwed?

2. Why is 2009 named World Builder's Edition and 2010 named Engineer's Edition. Any added missing features, or enhancements, or is it just a name (insert clever Shakespearean joke here)

I hope these questions aren't too noob

Hi no newbie to Trainz guy, ;)

You can use your links or the ones appearing on your Auran Planet . As a final solution, pick up some meteorite pieces and put them on a track. Sometimes it helps and makes magic. ;):D

2. Why is 2009 named World Builder's Edition and 2010 named Engineer's Edition.
Marketing jargon because in the end, and surprisinly for a company given the fact of having two products being the same, if all the patches are applied to T9, the equation is T9=T10+the possibility of going nuts on-line with the multiplayer beta patch.

Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhh, different colours and interface, that's always very important, the most important of a leisure game, no doubt, who doubts it?. :hehe: I still love the colourful relaxing shades of T6, but that is a very personal Zatian point of view.

The meteorite responding machine side of Alberte

You can redownload it but you'll need to recall your password to get to the auran profile.

TS2009 was aimed more at content creators when they brought some significant updates to the game engine. The existing trees weren't so hot so TS2010 has speedtrees and a lot more content than TS2009.

Let me also mention that Trainz is DRM-free, so you have many and varied ways of backing it up: you can back up your finished installation as well. You can even run it from your backup location (although I strongly advise against that, as it somewhat defeats the purpose of backing up) and everything will work, save perhaps for certain download methods. And even those aren't difficult to fix.
