I feel right at home! ;-) The sight of rusty old Guilford smoldering around the lines is all too familiar.
Same here. These along with the PAR units will feel right at home on my New England, sort of kind of, themed route. My route history is that the regional railroad is made up of lines spun off of Guilford and PAR.I was sold on the Santa Fe SD26's, but those Guildford units are too good to pass up. The weathering is incredible. Nice work.
I'll pick up the units when they release and will worry about the New England route later. Maybe a modernized New England Coastal?Same here. A modernized NEC would be great. I already have a couple of routes that are right in the middle of New England. One is based in the greater Gloucester area and is located 30 miles south of me. Under the real Guilford, they discouraged all freight business on the line and on the North Shore in particular. I've put it back... My other more extensive route is New England mostly and has a theme based on being spun off from Guilford and PAR operations. Having some occasional visitors from this decrepit and now moribund operation is perfect. I saw them kill off business and bust unions, but that's another story for another thread.I'll pick up the units when they release and will worry about the New England route later.
