You know, a couple Alcos and a northeastern caboose would go really nicely with this.

The Alco C424s of the Morristown and Erie would look very nice, as would a green mountain RS-1, or a RS-11. Great hoppers, every scheme looks great, no matter what the colors are.

Hey L&N fans! You didn't think I was done with you yet, did you?

These were built with an aluminum body a few years before their steel cousins. Both L&N cars are stenciled for alumina loading, so you'll be able to run them together. I'm assuming that alumina is corrosive to steel, which is why these were built aluminum and the steel car is urethane lined.

Adam,

I didn't look real hard, but I didn't find any information to indicate that alumina is corrosive to steel. It might have something to do with the quality/purity of the alumina being transported.

BTW, Nice! Now JR is going to have to create an aluminum smelter.

Regards,

Yup, I agree. A couple of D&H blue, silver, and gold ones too would do real nice as well. :D

That may well be. I know when you weld aluminum and steel, you have to be careful to avoid forming some of the compounds that want to naturally form because they are weak, so something like that could happen between the alumina and car sides.

Alumina is a very abrasive and incredibly hard substance. It's almost up there with diamonds. Aluminum is probably more resistant to wear and abrasion from the load than bare steel is.

Mike,

The pigeons on my route are over whelmed with joy at the thought of a new, bigger and more exciting dining experience. They want to know if it will be open for dinner tonight. Digital pigeons are so needy.

Nice work.

John expect more stuff like this! In fact I may also convert this large elevator for ship transloading and add docks, etc.

Thanks,

Mike

what ever happened to the autoparts boxcar? and the the JR passenger cars?

There is a passenger car included with the BCI pack, a dome car! We will have more passenger stuff coming here very soon! Not sure on the autoparts car, I think Adam was making that.

Mike

If you mean an 86' box, I have never started one of those. I am planning to give a little attention to the 60' boxes I did as well as some new skins.

Are the 60' cars you mentioned in the ACF 60' box car pack #1? In T:ANE the DRGW, DTSL and UP are broken, but the rest seem to work OK.

Regards,

That sounds nice, I have long looked at that beautiful done carriage in BCI but more passenger carriages sounds great. Please do a rear vestibule saloon/business/private car. These heavyweight pullman style "varnish" saloons with open rear platforms are seriously lacking in trainz, and good quality ones are practically unheard of. Any road and roof style (arch, clerestory, etc) of your quality would look lovely in TANE!
