Is N3V Rational?

It works for me but I run NoScript in Firefox which likely stops the redirect. Great extension by the way. I made a .pdf from it so I'll upload that and provide a link.

It should open in your browser rather than download.

Theres a bit of script that tries to put it into the frame of the old site. That frame doesn't exist any more.

I downloaded the pages and corrected them to be visible on their own, but as its plastered with a copyright, I don't think I can actually put them up for others to see.

One thing to remember about these train simulator products is that many of the items made available on the downloads station are made by third party and/or trainz members who may not be 100% skilled in computer programming and asset creations.
We like to share our freeware or payware creations on the DLS so that we can all enjoy playing the game.
Back in the days of the released older TRS 2004 product when you sent up a layout or session or kuid dependency the Auran technical representatives used to test them out prior to release on the DLS.
They then informed the creator of any errors found.
A bit impossible to manage now with so many assets released every week.
Today the automated testing process notifies the creator of any missing kuids that are not currently online, but does not fully test the scripting and function of the asset for errors.
Maybe in future with improved technology and artificial intelligence could help to resolve all these issues.

You're welcome, Greg. It is interesting to see how your vision which was reaching for the stars in 1999 on the hardware of the time, has in so many ways become a reality on the hardware of today. Thank you.

Wow, hello there Greg! I was not expecting to see you in this thread, but regardless thank you for your initial concept for Trainz, and, as wreeder said, it really is interesting to see your vision start to become true.

Thank you Greg,

Andrew

Thanks for the articles. I didn't have a copy of those :)

I hope everyone is keeping well. Great to see so many names that I remember here after all these years.

Best regards

Greg Lane
Wish I was using Trainz more, but still around (just). As always, good to hear from you Greg 🙂

I guess I'm lucky. I retired 6 years ago and I've managed to do a good bit on my to do list. We visited England in 2019. I organized all the stuff that I had collected over the last 40 years living in the same place. Sold some of it and donated the rest. The highlight had to be getting $200 for my pale yellow leisure suit that I wore to the prom in 1975. My Trainz play has become more driving than building layouts. I check the forum daily but I don't really spend much time here. I dug out my copy of the original Trainz and got it running my old XP machine. Great fun to see the rolling stock with wheels that don't turn again. At least in that regard, Trainz has come a very long way. Outback Australia is still one of my favorite layouts to run.

We have taken three trips to Germany, England and Ireland. I am digitizing family photos going back to the 1890s. I am also on church council and more than one committee. Right now we have raspberries to pick every day and I have sprinklers I need to maintain. Going to a movie this afternoon. I finally bought and installed TRS22, but I have gone back to TS12 to look for some unique screenshots. Always something to do!

I was reluctantly forced into retirement in 2012. I use Trainz daily and spend a huge amount of time in the forums, as everyone knows. :)
If I'm not Trainzing, I'm practicing the piano at least an hour or two during the day. During the severe weather season, I watch live streams from a storm-chaser I follow and donate to through Patreon. Daniel Shaw comes up from Sydney Australia and chases for 3 months in the US. During our winter he chases storms in NSW, Victoria and Queensland during the early spring down under. Catching the daytime chases in Australia is a bit tough for me though since I am at the minimum 14 hours behind and with chases starting at 2:00 pm AEST, I can never catch a livestream for obvious reasons. In addition to the hobbies, my elderly father also keeps me busy now as I tend to his needs and that takes up a big part of my day and sometimes nights as well. That's why there are some really late/early posts by me.
