Is this forum abandoned by N3V as (official) communication channel?

OK. I will grant that everything has its uses. But for me to change my email I have to create a new account. How does that work for students and other long-term subscribers when they have to ditch their current account and create a new one? Which they have to do if anything is going to use email for verification. To me, that could be done better, not sure how. And granted, being forced to change your email is not common, but Sparklight did it to a lot of us when they dropped theirs. Or, I suppose, students who leave a school.

@Forester1 >>> Not sure why you would need to ditch a current profile/account. Once you make one, it can be used across multiple servers.
Your personal identity can be modified once you're accepted into a server. I.e., lets' say you joined a Channel dedicated to U.S built Garden Railways. Once you're in you realize everyone in the channel uses personal names with a flower or plant mixed in.
You decide you want to be known as The_Arborealist. You send a message to the channel admin(s) or a Moderator, asking to change your name. You get to use the new name while you're logged into that server, but your account name is still whatever you used when you signed up

Servers can be setup with custom entrance/membership requirements.
Maybe this link can help you ? >>> How to Verify Your Discord Account

I see both sides of this. I'm on a Discord server with a group of creators/advisors and its a great tool for collaboration in real time. Then I look at the N3V server and it's just a stream of consciousness without rhyme or reason. I read it for a few minutes and I feel like my brain is hurting!

The problem of course is that Trainz users are not just restricted to a single time zone. I can see how the real time collaboration could work if all the participants are in the same country and time zone but not when spread out around the globe. Even here in Oz we have 5 different time zones, and that becomes 6 during daylight saving (as now).

Indeed. I have family in several time zones.

Run 8 i own, very good for operational realism, but poor graphics. Open Rails is free so you can't really knock it.
And you can't criticise it or you will get flamed for your trouble by the acolytes who enjoy driving through an avenue of trees with bare terrain on the other side. The Savannah extension for the South East region just released, with no disrespect to those who built it, looks exactly the same as the previous stretches. I know our views differ on TSW Mike but I just bought the Mittenwaldbahn for TSW, same price as Savannah would cost and while there are a few wrinkles it looks stupendous as you would expect from TSG.

I agree with you Vern, i watched the Schnauz mans video on YT yesterday in regards the Savannah route. The first thing i saw at the start of the review, was a single track main line with a line of dense trees either side, stretching into the distance.
Underwhelming or what buddy. We can agree to disagree in regards TSW Vern, it looks lovely but that is all it has in my opinion. No realistic railway operations, mostly people jumping out of the trains they are supposed to be in charge of. Running around stations collecting crap and swiping timetables and posters to gain points. I have said to you before on more than one occasion, all these train games between them, might add up to a half decent one if the devs got together.
