Interesting loads

To keep the thread going....

What will they think of next, a superhopper?

It is nice to see this these days...

ha ha i loaded those units on those cars!! All of them are headin to Canada for the shell project. This is where I work and where those were unloaded/loaded at. http://www.lakesuperiorwarehousing.com/

yep. I saw a wide ver. on the end of a CSX wreck train, that was traversing the Charlotte line after the Dec. 2001 derailment. They are still common on special trains, and MOW trains.

Edit the mesh for the train on the flatcar. Add it to the load list. Make the industry for that. And dig in.

Transporting Plate Girders

I just finished making a couple plate-girder models both as a product and as a static scenery item. They come in two sizes: 90' L x 8' H and 60' L x 6' H. Once I finish cleaning house for an upcoming parental visit, I'll get them uploaded to the Download Station. :p

This first picture shows a short train leaving US Steel with a new load of plate girders, I-beams, and wire cable:

The remaining pictures show the train slowly crossing an old bridge on a seldom used line:

PS: As always, you can click on the picture to see the full-sized version.

Very nice Madeline! These were much needed. Thank you very much for these, and BTW I think I've wore the wheels off of your railgon!
