Inquiry:
Is it safe to delete installed and obsoleted kuids from the TRS2019 and TRS2022 Products in Content Manager ?
The reason for this inquiry is that one has about 5 gigabytes of obsoleted stuff where the kuids and packages are now updated from the Trainz DLS.
An HDD and/or SSD drive cleanup could give some memory back to be reused for other required downloaded routes etc.

"Obsolete" means that an installed asset has been replaced by a more recent version being installed.

From my experience:-

You can safely delete any assets labelled in Content Manager as "Installed from DLS, Obsolete"".

You cannot delete assets labelled as "Built-in, Obsolete" or "Base, Obsolete".

Assets labelled as "Payware, Obsolete" and "Packaged, Obsolete" can only be removed by Uninstalling the DLC package that they came with but this will also delete the package and all its contents.

I am really surprised that they have not come up with the ability to delete the "built-in obsolete" assets yet. There is no reason to keep them, and they are loading up the drive. I have 1,192.7Kb and I am sure there are those who have a lot more. This has been a problem since day one.

Same with "Packaged, obsolete", we seem to be stuck with a lot of obsolete stuff. I would say you can delete the things you can delete, but maybe be careful with "Modified", as it may be from a third-party site, some of which are no longer available, or it may be something you had to fix and won't want to fix again, you get the idea. Any DLS and packaged stuff can be re-downloaded if desired later, but you might want to back up Modified, in case you get a really great route and find out you need something you had.

The packages contain all the assets and as a whole only take up the space of the packages. When we see the individual assets, they are read from the packages. The updates we receive for assets in the packages, however, are not slipstreamed into the packages and are separate assets. This is where the space is taken up. If the updates could merge into the packages, that would be better.
