Imageshack starting to charge money..

Off topic, my apologies but I could not resist this.

Casper, that screenshot is so captivating that I must ask, is it a real photo? Breathtaking beauty.

Have any of you noticed that screenshot posting has changed. It is now possible to upload screenshots from your computer to what appears to be a new holding area by N3V. This will work to cut down on loading times on the forum as the screenshots appear as a clickable much reduced image.

I got that this morning when posting a link to PhotoBucket and thought I'd messed up. I presume this is the effect where you get an "attached thumbnail".

@narrowgauge
Thanks Peter. No, it’s not a photo. It’s all Trainz with hand built and textured terrain – no backdrops.

@Dinorius_Redundicus
Yeah Deane. The trick for “going large” is hidden away. Glad you’ve got it working though!

Anyone suggest a good, free image-hosting site that doesn't delete your images over time?

Blimey Deane, there's loads of free hosting sites all over the internet, don't you have any in Australia, there's one in NZ called http://www.iforce.co.nz/, and quite a few across Europe, I use a couple of sites - http://www.mynetimages.com/ and http://postimage.org/ both from North America, neither of them have I had any problems with in deleting screenshots, or, anything else untoward, I certainly don't entertain these big image hosting sites, it was only a matter of time before they all start charging subscriptions for customers.

I'd like to believe that in this day and age, the physical location of most web services' servers should hardly be an issue.

Was that really necessary?

Sorry, Deane, I wasn't trying to be rude, I thought a local one may be useful according to your timezone, etc, I've often found that using hosting sites from different areas of the world have restrictions on when they are being used the most and server restrictions ensue if they are really busy, I often cannot get on a site if everyone and his dog are on there, that was my point, nothing else.......honest.
