I DONT BELIEVE IT

I have seen that error elsewhere on the forums, but as I am not strictly a TS2010 user, I can only give limited info on that error.

The likely reason for that error is if you have your antivirus software running whilst doing the patching - you will need to turn off the real-time checking features to do the patch.

Shane,

Thanks for answering. I am running Norton 360 and turned off as many of the functions as I could but the patch still wouldn't work. Any other suggestions?

He said the "L" word!

"L" as in "Laptop". A laptop is never as good as an equivalent desktop, a laptop needs to be a lot more powerful to run 3D video games. I assume the main computer you're doing this on is a desktop, what are your system hardware specs? IIRC you need about 3ghz for the CPU, at least 1 meg of RAM, and a 256 meg video card that supports pixel shader 2.0. More power is obviously better, but if your hardware isn't up to the task you will get a lot of crashes and failures. Also check how much free disk space you have, empty the recycle bin, run the cleanup and defragment utilities before trying to add the patch.
