You use photobucket right? ^^
when ever you upload on photobucket there's like 4 links on the right hand side of the picture

The "direct link" is the one you copy, when you're about to post a picture with a reply you click on the "insert image" icon, which should look like a tree in a picture. Paste the link there and the image should pop up! ^^

more work, wasn't a productive weekend trainz-wise but I gotten some more things done ^^

A "work-in-progress" shot of a new area to the railway after a lot of procrastination. ^^

Evening and thanks for dropping by my place,

I just read your whole thread and it is amazing what you accomplished as Route Builder. And the re skins are too cool.....Your Route has personality!

Some of those Sunset Shots, Well, I need to work on that one, they look so natural and ground Texture with Setting Sun was a perfect blend of Colors.

Now I have to figure on how to get the lighting more natural.......

No problem :) I been fallowing it for a while, I just haven't singed in this place lately :P

aw thanks :) I hope I get achieve realistic looking shots one day!

The ground textures I use are the Ultra Textures that can be found on the DLS, I recommend them they change with the season too so that's an added bonus

me personally wish I can run shadows with my trainz XD The game lags as soon as I put even low detailed shadows on, such a shame the game looks great with them on ... oh well one day ^^

Don't cut yourself short those Realistic Shots, your Photos are really nice, I think they are anyway, and about the Textures, thanks for the Tip on that, I'll download those, I need to remove some of the Textures that don't look so good, that sounds really cool about the seasonal change........That changes things up on a route.

As for Shadows and stuff, I definitely get that, with my Laptop, 16 Megs Memory and SSD, I do great, but the Graphics Lag kills me and no way from what I've gather from others who have the same complaint, because they are dedicated built in to the MOB, (motherboard) which nixes from changing or upgrading short of whole Motherboard replacement which may or may not possible these days, I used to build desktops for a hobby for about 15 yrs.......

So my next Laptop will be a Gamer, (Alien?) no if ands about it!...And yah, I'll pay the price, but not other way out of it. And I'm OK with that, just have to save up for it...........

Also I have a good Desktop for TRAINZ, but not the time right now due to other obligations. But that is my long term solution for better Running this program, the way I see and hear it here in the forums, you just can't have enough horse power under the hood for this Simulator, and for other Graphic intensive Games either.

You keep up the good work I'll be checking in to see how your doing.

Two things:

;) I like those City Signs you made or Re skinned next to the Tracks! They fit the bill nicely and very easy to read.

And could you tell me what "XD" means that you use?

thanks again! I need to work on making realistic towns and stuff, because I love urban centers.
Unfortunately, I lost those sign reskins, I can always make new ones later :)

I'm working on my 3rd route now btw, It wasn't meant to be a route but now it is :P

For me I have to upgrade my GPU, the CPU can be put off for a few more years maybe. I can run shadows only if I cut down the rendering distance to 4,000 meters with a bearable lag, and cut off rending behind the camera.

Thanks, same to you! :)
"XD" is an emote I use often out of habit, especially if I make a joke or such :3

XD copy, thanks,

And on GPU, there are many knowledgeable folks here when you get ready to replace it, everyone has shared a lot of info on NVidia's

I believe are the favorite choice? Especially for better pricing too.

If need any links on that info let me know, I think I know where it was discussed last year.

Those tree shots are awesome, just curious what type these Trees are that you used in the Picture, they look very life like. Those would be some of the ones I would like in my Route with others.

What I also need to do after I clear out the Pofig Tree ones this week (99 of them, yuck), because they aren't compatible with T:ANE of course, is then go thru and get rid of the other ugly or Stickily ones that don't render well when your driving down the track, for whatever reason, at close views they go transparent, drives me buggy.

I don't know what causes it, but it messes up a perfectly good photo ops.

I just re read your post on Urban Towns, one thing I notice when I look at other creators routes in that regard, is some will just jam the buildings together, as if they where just thrown in where they land willy nilly, same as with roads, and I think, and this is just my opinion, there should be a rhyme or reason as to how they are laid out, that makes some sense........

Of course like anyone thing, the more detailed, the more time is invested same as when you do Texture and Planting, it can take an inordinate amount of time to do small areas.

For me, when I was new here I would read msg's about routes that had taken 5-10 yrs to perfect, it scared the bejeebers out of me, but as I learned more about Trainz as a Novice, I started to get why and what reasoning, like Track laying perfection rather than just throwing stuff around helter skelter and calling it finished if you will....
