How to use iPortal?

Greetings
I (we) have been trying send trains both ways between iPortals via internet with no success.
We configured the ports with Portal ID, Dest. ID User ID numbers, check at 1 min., and Auto.
The trains do not appear at the destination.
Is security a consideration?
How are these transfers handled? I am presuming the process is similar to e-mail.???
We are both running TRS2006, sp1.

it's hard to explain but we have a iportal club setup and hosted,


if you join that there's straight steps on wat to do.

Hey I just found out about iportal and I was wondering if you still have an iportal club or if you have moved on to trainz multiplayer. If you still of the club I would love to join.

make sure all have the same carsengines
make sure the iportal is on line,,,,,
