How many people use CAB mode?! Do you?

I use "Cab Mode" when I'm at work, some while I'm at the computer. Most of the time when I'm having fun, it's DCC.

I usually use cab mode because it's more realistic; the only thing that annoys me about it is that in a steam locomotive you are also the fireman. Auran should make it so you have a fireman checking the water and coal levels for you so you can focus on the track ahead of you and your controls.

I never use the DCC; it's way too sensitive to use properly in my opinion.
Oh well, to each his own, right?

There are auto-fireman scripts that some locos use, that can be added to other locomotives relatively easily. They may not automate all fundctions, but they certainly remove some of the hassle of trying to juggle two jobs.

For me Trainz is a fantastic world or model railroad simulator that hapens to be centered around trainz. It gives you a great tools to build your virtual world and create flows of goods and passangers. A pure driving simulator like msts was is of no interest to me, neider is cab mode. My personal opinion is that cab mode could have beed left out concentrating on what Trainz is good at and what makes it unique. So definitly dcc for me, or higher level controll using the AI system.

Cab mode for always and FTW! The game is called Trainz Railway Simulator, not Trainz Scale Simulator.

Exactly, it's a Railway simulator, not a driver or engine simulator. But as it stands today we do not have to chose, we can all have it the way we want.
