Any help is truly appreciated!! I looked for a phone number to call and cannot find one. Any help? Please advise ASAP!! I feel that I am not getting my moneys worht regarding this program! Thank you!!
Please direct ANY help to deerless@frontier.com

Again, I am ust a dad trying to help my son get involved in "model trains" online. Perhaps this prorgram is too complex for our non technical minds. If so let me know now and I will try to cancel our membership. If this is not too much fregarding what we want to do, please send me a direct link/phone number/ email address so that I can talk to someone that can help us out. Again, this is not about me, it is about an enthuastic 5 year old that wants to learn all that he can about this type of program......

Hi Kurtf0a,

Did you get an email from Auran with the download link given?
If not go to your "profile" at the top of this page and select "order history" that will tell you if your order has been processed or not.

Cheers,
Bill69

p.s. If you don't have auran's address in your contacts folder, check your spam folder.

Bill

I did get the download link. Actually there were 5 kinks provided. Do I need to click and download all 5 of these downloads or are these 5 links options for downloads?

I have the serial numbers provided, ther are 5 of them. I downloaded 2 of them but when I tried to open them, I had no luck.....

I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to help you since I bought the boxed version and not the download version, but it appears that you've at least done something right since you appear to have registered your 2010 version of the game. I'm sure that someone that's more familiar with the download version will be along to help you, so just be a little patient if you can. I'm sure that the 5 yr old is not being too patient right now.

You could submit a Helpdesk ticket to try to get some help from Auran/N3V, but they're not a 24 hr service. They're in Australia and work a normal day. Click on the Helpdesk tab at the top of the page if you want to try that route, but you'll probably get some help here on the forum before too long.

Anyway, best of luck to you.

Mike

Again I am not download savy. All I want to do is download the program and run it so that my son and I can have some fun with it. I need for someone to tell me how to make this as easy as possible so that I can see exactly how complicated it is :) Thanks for the help!!

Hi, I am not sure about the five links, they could be options to download from your nearest location or they could be links to diferent versions. I think I would try the first one first. One word of warning, after downloading make sure you install the game with administrator privelages and with you antivirus off. If you are worried about getting a virus disconect from the internet swich antivirus off then install as administrator.

Cheers

Good Afternoon Kurtf0a
You will need to download the 5 files that will be available on the order/download page in order to be able to install TS2010:EE. You can access your order history by going to the following link https://www.auran.com/planetauran/Order_History.php

Once on the order history page, click on the order number that matches the digital download purchase. On the order page, you will find a download link, click on this. This will take you to the download page, where you will find two download links. Please try using the top download link first.

We do recommend that digital downloads be downloaded using a download manager such as http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/

Please also ensure that all five files are in the same folder before running the setup.exe file.

Please contact our helpdesk if you need any further assistance.

This is the email that I have gotten....

Kurt, You have to download all of them then start the installation with the one numbered as "1" They install in succesion. I also remember that there is a download alternate site listed. That was the only one that worked for me. I can't get in to where I downloaded it now so I can't say exactly what it was, but the first link they gave me did not work either.
I hope I am remember ing this correctly

Kurt,

On your desktop, create a new folder.

Go to your order history page on Planet Auran.

You'll see placed order by transaction number and date.

In the lower part of the screen, you'll see Downloads.

You need to click on each one of these individually to download them.

Download them to the folder you created on your desktop.

Run the setup.exe from this folder.

It is recommended that you use a file download manager to handle the downloads because of the size of the files.

Hope this helps. I understand the impatience of a 5 year-old. I have a niece and nephew of the same age!

John

@bulpup - we posted at the same time. lol!

I go to the download
setup.exe (411.56 kb)
setup-1a.bin (1.46 GB)
setup-1b.bin (1.46 GB)
setup-2a.bin (1.46 GB)
setup-2b.bin (1.04 GB)
https://www.auran.com/planetauran/Order_History.php

and see a list of 5 files that I need to download. When I click on each one, all I get is

Try their alternate link and see if that works tomorrow. I had no problems connecting, but it could just be the timing if the download server is busy.

That is just telling you that the download server is busy with other downloads. (It has limited capacity). Go back to the download site and and keep clicking on the link every few minutes. That way you have a chance to get through when some one else completes a download.

This (TRAINZ 2010) is a complex program and it can be a challenge just to get it running properly. Personally, I think "My First Train Set" would be a better choice for a five year old. It is a much simpler program and far less taxing on your PC.

Hi All
I've alerted out admin to this, as it appears that the digital downloads may be offline at the moment. Hopefully we can have this fixed as soon as possible.

We do apologise for this outage, and thank you for your patience.

Thank you all for your help! I have passed the task on to my brother who can hopefully help me out.

Now, another question.... I would like to buy my son an engine that he can run at the local "train crew" as he calls it. There is a "club" with lines alrady set up that he is a member of. I am looking at an HO guage as that seems to be the one that he likes best. The layout supports analogue as well as DCC? I believe.... Like I said, we are new to this whole model train world so please excuse me if I am not using the correct terms... I do not mean to offend anyone by my simplistic vocabulary regarding model trains..... Where, EXACTLY, should I look to buy him an engine?
